Usain Bolt misses out on IAAF athlete of the year shortlist
MONACO (AP) — Usain Bolt, who won the IAAF world athlete of the year award six times, has not been included in the 10-men shortlist for this year's prize.
The only sprinter to capture the 100- and 200-meter track titles at three consecutive Olympics, Bolt retired after this year's world championships in London. He holds the world record of 9.58 seconds in the 100 and 19.19 in the 200.

LONDON (AP) — The Latest from the world championships (all times local):
Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands successfully defended her 200-meter title at the world championships, dipping at the line just ahead of Marie-Josee Ta Lou.
Shaunae Miller-Uibo, the 400 Olympic champion, took bronze.
Schippers came out of the bend just ahead of Ta Lou and finished in 20.05 seconds. Ta Lou set an Ivory Coast record of 22.08, while Miller-Uibo crossed in 22.15.
