2 people shot to death in Peoria home invasion
PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Two people were shot to death during an invasion of a Peoria home.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says 30-year-old Kayla N. Fannon was found dead at the home early Thursday.
Peoria Police officials also found a 39-year-old man who was wounded by a gunshot. Police spokeswoman Amy Dotson says David Jenkins was transported to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — A man indicted last year with 14 others for being members of Peoria's Bomb Squad street gang has pleaded guilty in federal court to racketeering charges.
Terry Moss admitted to attempted murder in aid of racketeering; use of a firearm in relation to a violent crime; and to possession and distribution of crack cocaine.

Police say a city officer tried to stop the vehicle about 1:30 a.m. Friday for a traffic violation when the driver fled at a high speed. Police spokeswoman Amy Dotson says the officer didn't chase the vehicle but it soon crashed at the entrance of Glen Oak Park.
