Jaguars re-sign safety Jarrod Wilson to 3-year contract
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed safety Jarrod Wilson to a three-year contract.
Wilson was set to become a restricted free agent on March 13.
Wilson started the final two games this season, filling in for injured starter Ronnie Harrison. Harrison, a rookie and a third-round draft pick from Alabama, stepped into a starting role in place of waived veteran Barry Church.
Panthers hire Perry Fewell as new defensive backs coach
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Panthers have hired Perry Fewell as their new secondary coach.
Fewell returns home bringing 34 years of coaching experience, including 21 in the NFL. He most recently served as secondary coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars allowed just 182.2 passing yards per game the last two seasons, the fewest in the NFL.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Leonard Fournette's season-long struggles proved costly for his position coach.
The Jacksonville Jaguars fired running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley and three more assistants Monday night, according to a person familiar with the situation. The person spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity and said offensive line coach Pat Flaherty, secondary coach Perry Fewell and defensive line coach Marion Hobby also were let go one day after the season finale.
Redskins hire Torrian Gray from U of Florida as DBs coach
ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Torrian Gray is the new defensive backs coach for the Washington Redskins.
The team announced his hiring on Wednesday.
Gray spent last season as the University of Florida's defensive backs coach; the school announced last week that he was leaving. Before that, he coached that position at Virginia Tech.
Jaguars hire Tyrone Wheatley as running backs coach
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired former Michigan standout Tyrone Wheatley as running backs coach.
Wheatley spent the past two years coaching running backs at his alma mater. Before that, he spent five years working for new Jaguars coach Doug Marrone.
Wheatley coached running backs with the NFL's Buffalo Bills (2013-14) and on the collegiate level at Syracuse (2010-12). Marrone was the head coach at both stops.
Jags retain Wash as coordinator, add Fewell, Flaherty
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars added three assistants to new coach Doug Marrone's staff Saturday.
The Jaguars retained Todd Wash as defensive coordinator, hired Perry Fewell as secondary coach and Pat Flaherty as offensive line coach. They join Joe DeCamillis, who was hired Friday as special teams coordinator.
Keeping Wash creates some continuity on the defensive side of the ball, and that should be a good thing.
Redskins fire defensive coordinator Joe Barry
ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — The Washington Redskins fired defensive coordinator Joe Barry and other members of the coaching staff.
The team on Thursday announced the firings of Barry, defensive line coach Robb Akey, defensive backs coach Perry Fewell and head strength and conditioning coach Mike Clark. Coach Jay Gruden said Monday he thought ultimately it would be his call about which members of his staff were retained.
