PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) — Consumers Energy says a customer's house in Oakland County has been destroyed by an explosion.
An injured man was taken to a hospital Saturday night.
The explosion occurred at a house in Pontiac. Consumers Energy says a natural gas leak in the area was found and repaired, but the cause of the leak remains under investigation. The utility says the area is safe for residents and businesses.

Kahlil Ellison of Pontiac is being held on a $1 million dollar bond after being arraigned Sunday in the Oakland County Jail on a charge of assaulting a pregnant woman intentionally causing a miscarriage.
Ellison does not have an attorney listed in his court record. His next hearing is scheduled for next Tuesday.

PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) — A bone from the remains of a man found dead in 2016 was mistakenly buried with the remains of a teenage girl found dead in 1975, according to Michigan officials.
A bone from Donald Smith's remains was mistakenly released last year with Darlene McKenzie's remains, which were then buried in Pontiac in February 2017, the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office said. The office discovered the error this week while reviewing McKenzie's case.

Oakland County health officials say it's the state's second reported death this year related to the virus and the first in Oakland County since 2015.
West Nile virus primarily is transmitted to humans through the bites of infected mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are infected with the virus by biting infected birds.
