Janewattananond wins Singapore Open with final round 65
SINGAPORE (AP) — Jazz Janewattananond shot a final-round 65 on Sunday to win the Singapore Open and qualify for this year's British Open.
The Thai player carded seven birdies over the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club to finish at 18-under 266, two strokes ahead of Yoshinori Fujimoto (68) and Paul Casey (65), who had already secured his place at Royal Portrush.
Thai golfer takes Perth lead, Westwood fails to qualify
PERTH, Australia (AP) — Thailand's Prom Meesawat took a two-stroke lead after three rounds with a 5-under 67 while England's Lee Westwood went from a tie for first place to being out of the World Super 6 tournament.
The Thai golfer had a three-round total of 12-under 204 at Lake Karrinyup Country Club, with three golfers tied for second: American Sean Crocker (67), Australian Lucas Herbert (69) and Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen (69).
Garcia, in darkness, on top after 3rd round of Dubai Classic
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Sergio Garcia made a birdie putt from six feet in darkness on Saturday to take a three-shot lead into the final day of the Dubai Desert Classic.
Garcia finished with a pair of birdies for a 4-under-par 68, which took his three-day total to 16 under.
