PRYOR, Okla. (AP) _ Orchids Paper Products Co. (TIS) on Thursday reported a loss of $6.9 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Pryor, Oklahoma-based company said it had a loss of 65 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 42 cents per share.
The maker of bulk tissue paper products posted revenue of $45.9 million in the period.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A new survey shows the support that has been provided to Oklahoma communities as a result of the Google Data Center in Pryor.
An analysis by Oxford Economics shows the data center is making its mark on the community with about 400 employees that have a combined direct income of approximately $31.5 million.

PRYOR, Okla. (AP) — Google is planning to open another four-story data center in Oklahoma, bringing the company's total investment in the state to at least $2.5 billion.
The company recently announced plans to spend $600 million on the additional data center at Google's campus at the MidAmerica Industrial Park near Pryor, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) northeast of Tulsa.
3 in Oklahoma indicted for 2014 opioid death of woman
TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Two women and a man have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Oklahoma in connection with the opioid-related death of a woman in 2014.
U.S. Attorney Trent Shores in Tulsa says 36-year-old Jennifer Boyce and 30-year-old Michael Miers, both of Pryor, and 39-year-old Christina Dempsey of Chouteau were indicted Tuesday on charges of conspiracy and distribution of oxycodone resulting in death.
Court documents do not list attorneys for any of the defendants.

PRYOR CREEK, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma woman accused of raping one of her four foster children has resigned from a junior high school.
Pryor Public Schools Superintendent Don Raleigh tells The Miami News-Record that 34-year-old Stephanie Cowan was suspended and subsequently resigned as a Pryor junior high school science teacher following second-degree rape charges.

PRYOR, Okla. (AP) — Police in Pryor have identified a man who died after he was struck by a freight train.
Television station KJRH reports (http://bit.ly/2r4POuM ) that 53-year-old Doug Edward Jones was killed when he was struck by the train on Sunday.
Police say Jones, a pedestrian, had crawled up on the tracks just before the train hit him.
PRYOR, Okla. (AP) — Authorities in Pryor say a pedestrian has died after being struck by a freight train.
The incident occurred about 10:45 a.m. Sunday in the northeastern Oklahoma city. Witnesses say the unidentified man was struck by a train at a crossing in the city.
A medical helicopter and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene. Assistant Police Chief James Willyard says a middle-aged man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and later died of his injuries.
3 students injured after Oklahoma school bus crash
PRYOR, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three students were injured after the school bus they were riding in ran off a county road and struck a tree.
A preliminary patrol report says the collision happened Thursday afternoon four miles west of Pryor in Mayes County.
The bus was carrying 19 students ranging from pre-kindergarten to junior high school.

PRYOR, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two people have died in separate auto crashes on state roads.
The OHP says 23-year-old Layne Michael Meriwether of Stillwater was killed Sunday and 28-year-old Ashlee Ward of Pryor died Saturday.
A police report Meriwether was eastbound on Highway 51 near Stillwater when the pickup truck he was driving went off the road in foggy conditions early Sunday and rolled into a tree.
