Calvin Wishart had 14 points and seven rebounds for Georgia Southern (15-10, 7-5 Sun Belt Conference). Quan Jackson added 13 points. Montae Glenn had 10 points and three blocks for the home team.

MONROE, La. (AP) — Daishon Smith had 38 points as Louisiana-Monroe beat Georgia Southern 88-79 on Friday night.
Smith hit 13 of 15 foul shots.
Travis Munnings had 17 points for Louisiana-Monroe (13-10, 6-5 Sun Belt Conference). Michael Ertel added 15 points. JD Williams had 10 points for the home team.

Brown scores 32, Georgia Southern downs Ragin’ Cajuns 103-86
LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Tookie Brown poured in a season-high 32 points and Quan Jackson scored 23 as Georgia Southern pummeled Louisiana-Lafayette 103-86 Wednesday night.
Georgia Southern (14-9, 6-4 Sun Belt Conference) shot 54 percent from the floor, 35 of 65, and drained 10 of 15 shots from behind the 3-point arc.
Simonds scores 29 to keep Georgia State in first place
ATLANTA (AP) — D'Marcus Simonds scored 29 points with four 3-pointers and Georgia State beat Georgia Southern 81-72 on Saturday to stay in first place in the Sun Belt Conference.
Simonds was 10-of-20 shooting and the Panthers (17-6, 7-2) also shot 50 percent as a team while making 10 of 27 3-point attempts. Kane Williams added 19 points, Malik Benlevi 12 and Jeff Thomas 10.
UT Arlington tops Georgia Southern for 2nd place in Sun Belt
STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) — Freshman David Azore scored 15 points, Brian Warren added 14 points with four 3-pointers and five assists and UT Arlington beat Georgia Southern 72-67 on Thursday night.
Georgia Southern led by 13 points early in the second half but UTA tied it at 56 with less than 10 minutes remaining. Radshad Davis gave UTA its first lead of the second half with 8:21 to go and Georgia Southern pulled to 67-65 at 3:35 but didn't make another field goal the rest of the game.
Georgia Southern beats South Alabama 88-86 in OT
MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Tookie Brown scored 26 on 10-of-17 shooting, Montae Glenn added 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Georgia Southern held on in overtime for an 88-86 victory over South Alabama on Saturday.
Quan Jackson scored five of his 15 points in overtime. His 3-pointer with 58 seconds left gave the Eagles (12-7, 4-2 Sun Belt Conference) the lead for good at 87-84.
Gant leads Louisiana-Lafayette past Georgia Southern 87-85
STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) — Jakeenan Gant scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Louisiana-Lafayette edged Georgia Southern 87-85 on Saturday night.
Gant was 9 of 17 from the field for the Ragin' Cajuns (11-6, 2-2 Sun Belt). Jerekius Davis added 17 points and Marcus Stroman and P.J. Hardy added 12 points apiece. Stroman had six boards.
Georgia Southern tops ULM 79-78 with buzzer beating 3
STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) — Tookie Brown scored 22 points and fed Quan Jackson for the winning 3-pointer as time expired and Georgia Southern defeated UL Monroe 79-78 on Thursday night.
After a timeout with four seconds remaining, Georgia Southern inbounded from beneath its own basket. Brown took the ball upcourt, penetrated the lane, then dished to Jackson who connected from the left corner as time ran out.

The Braves closed regulation on a 6-0 spurt to force overtime tied at 59. Jackson made two 3-pointers and two free throws and the Eagles led 71-68 with 1:55 remaining in OT. Montae Glenn hit a jump shot and Tookie Brown split a pair of free throws to stretch the lead to 74-68 with 37 seconds left.

BOONE, N.C. (AP) — Tookie Brown hit two straight jumpers in the final minutes as Georgia Southern rallied to beat Appalachian State 60-59 on Saturday for its fourth straight Sun Belt Conference win.
Trailing 57-56, Brown hit a jump shot for a 58-57 lead. He made the game-winning shot with 56 seconds left. Isaac Johnson answered with a layup with 39 seconds remaining. The game ended on Ronshad Shabazz's missed 3-point attempt that would have won the game for the Mountaineers.

There were seven ties and eight lead changes in the second half. The Eagles (10-4, 1-1 Sun Belt) took the lead on a Quan Jackson layup with 47 seconds left after a South Alabama (8-6, 2-0) turnover. The Jaguars went back on top when Nick Davis scored on a putback with 29 seconds to play.
