Jags-Vikes practices another mark of Rashod Hill’s progress
EAGAN, Minn. (AP) — Rashod Hill might not take part in the joint practices with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Minnesota Vikings this week because of a minor injury.
Perhaps, then, he'll have a brief moment to reflect on his progressing career, considering the presence on the same field of his former and current team. An undrafted practice squad player with the Jaguars just two years ago, Hill has become a key cog on a championship contender as the front runner at right tackle.
Vikings stick with Rashod Hill at right tackle against Eagles despite late struggles vs. Cameron Jordan, Saints
Vikings right tackle Rashod Hill has a tough matchup ahead of him on Sunday in Philadelphia, where Eagles sack leader Brandon Graham has been known to disrupt offenses.
Vikings get center Pat Elflein back for NFC divisional game vs. Saints, but offfensive line still making adjustments
The Vikings offensive line could shuffle once again for Sunday’s NFC divisional playoff game against the Saints at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Center Pat Elflein, who missed two of the last four games due to a left shoulder injury, is expected to be ready for Sunday. The Vikings had a light practice Monday upon returning from a few days away.
“I’m ready,” Elflein said. “I’m practicing. I’m rolling.”
Vikings center Pat Elflein ruled out with shoulder injury
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer says rookie center Pat Elflein will miss Sunday's game against Chicago because of a shoulder injury, his second missed start of the season.
Zimmer made the announcement Friday during a press conference. Veteran Joe Berger will move from right guard to take Elflein's place, making his first start of the season at center. Berger started all 16 games there for the Vikings during the 2015 season.
Vikings could use a different starting offensive line unit for the seventh time this season
The Vikings offensive line could be starting its seventh different combination in Sunday’s season finale against the Bears, one shy of last year’s injury-riddled season featuring eight.
Center Pat Elflein has been held out of practice this week due to a lingering shoulder injury that first surfaced after the Dec. 3 win in Atlanta. He missed the next week and has played two games since.
Rudolph, Reiff doubtful for Vikings with ankle injuries
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings likely may be without a pair of important offensive players on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Left tackle Riley Reiff (ankle) and tight end Kyle Rudolph (ankle) were listed as doubtful on the team's official injury report Friday.
Coach Mike Zimmer didn't think Rudolph would play, although he held out hope for Reiff.
Vikings might entrust safety net Rashod Hill with even bigger role against Bengals
Rashod Hill stands 6-6, tying him for the tallest current Viking, but hes not carrying the attitude of overlooking anybody.
Minnesota Vikings offensive linemen watched film Monday and it wasn't pretty.
Minnesota gave up a season-high six sacks in Sunday's 31-24 loss at Carolina.
Quarterback Case Keenum pointed the finger at himself after the game, saying he needs to get the ball out quicker, but those on the line did not agree.
"We know that there's nowhere to put the blame but at ourselves," Jeremiah Sirles said after seeing how "poorly" the line had looked on film.
The list of undrafted free agents making an impact on the Vikings this season is lengthy. Case Keenum, Adam Thielen, Marcus Sherels, Andrew Sendejo, C.J. Ham, Jeremiah Sirles, Nick Easton, Kai Forbath, Ryan Quigley and Tom Johnson were all passed over in the NFL draft.
Vikings’ vastly improved run game isn’t just better — it’s historically better
Rushing yards werent coming easy for the Vikings in Atlanta after halftime. But Latavius Murrays 12th carry the fifth of this surgically methodical drive backed Falcons defenders heels to the edge of their own end zone.
Lions DE Ansah active, Vikings OT Remmers inactive
DETROIT (AP) — Detroit Lions defensive end Ezekiel Ansah is active after missing two games with a back injury.
Ansah had been listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Minnesota.
Vikings right tackle Mike Remmers is inactive. He had been questionable because of a concussion. Rashod Hill is starting at right tackle.
Vikings at full strength at first practice of short week
All 63 Vikings helmets ran around the Winter Park fieldhouse Tuesday, meaning theyre healthy entering the most pivotal game of the 2017 season.
Right tackle Mike Remmers is continuing to work through the concussion protocol as of Tuesday afternoon. He returned to practice and was limited, leaving the door open for his return Thursday against the Lions.
Vikings’ Rashod Hill gets a crack at right tackle in place of Mike Remmers
Rashod Hill has played 147 snaps for the Vikings. More than a handful of his plays have inspired confidence that they might have found a steady prospect at backup tackle.
But none of those snaps have been in an actual NFL start, until Sunday. In Washington, Hill will get his first start at right tackle when he replaces the injured Mike Remmers, who has been ruled out due to a concussion suffered two weeks ago against the Browns.
Defensive end Everson Griffen and right tackle Mike Remmers were unable to practice Wednesday, the Vikings first session since returning from the bye week.
Remmers remains in the concussion protocol 10 days after he was pulled from the Vikings 33-16 victory over the Browns in London. He seemingly injured his head while trying to cut block Browns linebacker Jamie Collins Sr. on the fifth snap of the game. Tackle Rashod Hill took Remmers place at the start of Wednesdays practice.

Remmers not listed on injury report for Vikings
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings right tackle Mike Remmers is not listed on the team's final injury report of the week, meaning he is expected to play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Remmers did not practice on Thursday because of an illness. He returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday.
Quarterback Sam Bradford was ruled out Thursday, so he will miss his third straight game with a knee injury. Case Keenum will start again in his place.
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings left tackle Riley Reiff has been missing from practice due to an undisclosed injury.
Reiff left the field on a cart during the first full-team practice of training camp Thursday. He was not present Friday, but coach Mike Zimmer said Reiff remained at the facility at Minnesota State University. Zimmer declined to divulge the injury, but he said he doesn't believe it's serious.
