LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP) — Frederick Scott had 21 points as Rider beat Monmouth 81-72 on Friday night.
Tyere Marshall had 17 points and 10 rebounds for Rider (13-13, 8-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), which broke its five-game losing streak. Stevie Jordan added 15 points and six assists. Dimencio Vaughn had 11 points for the hosts.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Ray Salnave had 17 points off the bench to carry Monmouth to a 61-49 win over Fairfield on Saturday.
Mustapha Traore had 16 points and nine rebounds for Monmouth (10-16, 9-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), which earned its fourth straight victory. Diago Quinn added nine rebounds.
The Stags' 27.1 field goal percentage represented the worst mark by a Monmouth opponent this season.
Fairfield scored 21 first-half points, a season low for the team.
Quinn, Monmouth knock off MAAC leading Rider 75-71
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Diago Quinn scored 17 points and Monmouth closed the game with a 12-2 run to defeat league-leading Rider 75-71 on Saturday.
The Hawks (8-16, 7-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Association) were down 69-63 when Anthon Durham knocked down a 3-pointer with just under four minutes to play. A 3-point play by Nick Rutherford capped a 7-0 run that put Monmouth up 70-69 at the 2:02 mark.
Salnave’s late basket gives Monmouth 83-81 win over Iona
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Ray Salnave, who put the game in jeopardy with a late turnover, immediately redeemed himself by hitting a short floater with 1.1 seconds left that lifted Monmouth to an 83-81 win over Iona on Sunday.
Salnave, who coughed up the ball against the Iona full-court pressure that quickly turned into Rickey McGill's tying 3-pointer with 13.3 seconds remaining, waited as time wound down before driving into the lane and floating a shot over a defender and off the glass.

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Ray Salnave scored 17 points with a trio of 3-pointers and had three steals as Monmouth ran away from Fairfield 74-57 Thursday night, winning its third straight.
Deion Hammond added 16 points and four 3-pointers for Monmouth (5-14, 4-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Association) and Diago Quinn 15 points and eight rebounds. The Hawks, who started the season with 12 straight losses, are 5-2 since breaking into the win column against Penn in overtime.

LOUDOUNVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — Deion Hammond scored 16 points, Diago Quinn and Ray Salnave each scored 14 and Monmouth beat Siena 63-60 in overtime on Monday night.
Nick Rutherford made a pair of free throws 65 seconds into overtime and the Hawks (4-14, 3-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) led the rest of the way. Kevin Degnan's 3-pointer brought Siena within 61-60 with two minutes left but the Saints missed their last two shots and a pair of free throws.

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Ray Salnave scored 17 points and Monmouth cruised to a 65-49 win over Manhattan on Saturday.
Mustapha Traore contributed 10 points for the Hawks (3-14, 2-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who shot 53.5 percent and held the Jaspers (3-13, 1-3) to 30 percent.
Monmouth opened the game with a 14-3 run with Salnave contributing a 3-pointer and a 3-point play and closed the half on a 12-3 spurt for a 34-21 lead.
Young, Kelly lead Quinnipiac past Monmouth in 2OTs
HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Cameron Young scored 33 points, making 13 of 16 free throws, and Quinnipiac defeated Monmouth 89-83 in double overtime on Thursday night.
Leading by three points with six seconds remaining in the second OT, Quinnipiac fouled and put Ray Salnave on the line. He made both to leave Monmouth behind 84-83. Monmouth in turn fouled Young. He missed the first and made the second for a two-point lead.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) — Louie Pillari scored 10 of his 21 points in the first half when Monmouth took a 17-point lead and the Hawks upended Iona 72-50 on Thursday night.
A 13-3 run to end the first half gave the Hawks a 41-24 lead with the margin reaching 24 with 8:50 left in the game after an 11-0 surge that started with two baskets by Zac Tillman and ended with five points from Ray Salnave.
Cruz’s shot with 2.1 left gives Fairfield win over Monmouth
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Jesus Cruz's running floater in the paint with 2.1 seconds left gave Fairfield a 79-78 victory over Monmouth on Friday night.
With 9.1 seconds left and Fairfield inbounding from Monmouth's end, Cruz took a pass just inside halfcourt and drove to the hoop where he split two defenders to put in a soft one-hander. A hurried 3-pointer by Monmouth's Deion Hammond was short at the buzzer.
