Charleston Southern beats Presbyterian in Big South tourney
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Ty Jones scored 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting and Charleston Southern opened the Big South Tournament with a 68-51 victory over Presbyterian on Tuesday night.
Jones scored 10 of Charleston Southern's 25 first-half points as the Buccaneers built a nine-point lead. The Blue Hose shot 32 percent and turned it over 11 times in the half.
Phlandrous Fleming Jr.'s third 3-pointer of the game extended Charleston Southern's lead to 60-40 with four minutes left.
Campbell controls Presbyterian for 72-56 win behind Clemons
BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) — Chris Clemons scored 23 points and distributed nine assists and Damontez Oliver scored 13 and Campbell defeated Presbyterian 72-56 on Saturday to finish in fourth place in the Big South standings.
Efianayi has 31 as Gardner-Webb thumps Presbyterian 78-63
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — David Efianayi drained four from long range to tie his career best with 31 points as Gardner-Webb rolled over Presbyterian 78-63 on Thursday night to halt a four-game losing skid.
Efianayi had 15 points in the first half to lead Gardner-Webb to a 42-24 advantage at the break. The Blue Hose never threatened in the second period.
Dillard scores 21, Presbyterian downs High Point 69-62
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Reggie Dillard scored 21 points with three 3-pointers, JC Younger added 17 points with four 3s, and Presbyterian beat High Point 69-62 on Thursday night to end a three-game skid.
Romeo Crouch scored 12 points with nine rebounds and Davon Bell added 11 points with nine assists for the Blue Hose (11-17, 4-11 Big South Conference), who outscored the Panthers 28-20 in the paint and shot 11 of 21 from 3-point range (52.4 percent).

CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Ryan Kemrite scored 21 points and Liberty downed Presbyterian 81-66 on Saturday afternoon to snap a five-game skid.
Kemrite made five 3-pointers for the Flames (13-10, 4-6 Big South) who had a 32-21 rebounding edge over Presbyterian. Keegan McDowell added 19 points with five rebounds and Elijah Cuffee chipped in 12 points.
Liberty jumped to a 15-2 start, stretched their lead to 24-7 with 6:07 left in the half, and built it into a 35-20 advantage at the break.
Presbyterian turns backs Charleston Southern 57-59
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Davon Bell scored 19 points, Reggie Dillard had 17 and Presbyterian defeated Charleston Southern 57-49 on Wednesday night to end a 12-game losing streak in the series.
Bell had 13 points in the first half when the Blue Hose (9-13, 2-7 Big South Conference) shot 54 percent and opened a 33-26 lead. Dillard had 12 in the second half when Presbyterian held the Buccaneers (7-13, 2-7) to 27 percent shooting.
Cooks has 30th career double-double, Winthrop wins 81-68
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Xavier Cooks scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Josh Ferguson added 17 points and eight boards, and Winthrop beat Presbyterian 81-68 on Sunday.
Bjorn Broman made four 3-pointers and scored 13 points, and Anders Broman added 11 points for Winthrop (11-8, 5-3 Big South), which has won four straight. It was Cooks' 30th career double-double.

Kyrin Galloway hit a 3-pointer with 1:19 left to give UNC Greensboro a five-point lead, 72-67. The Blue Hose responded with a layup by Davon Bell and Ethan Kay's trey with :41 left tied the game at 72-72.
