Seaside woman gets 13 years for driving drunk, killing man
SEASIDE, Ore. (AP) — A Seaside woman has pleaded guilty to driving drunk and killing a man last year.
KPTV-TV reports Corrissa Barnett pleaded guilty Thursday in connection with the death of 42-year-old Robert Miles of Hammond in October 2017.
The Utah Department of Transportation is encouraging people to not only drive alert, but for pedestrians to walk the walk and not talk and walk.
As part of that reminder, Zero Fatalities has installed outdoor advertisements as part of the "Heads Up" safety campaign, reminding pedestrians to stay alert when walking this holiday season, said a UDOT press release.
DJ Robert Miles has passed away at the age of 47.
The Trance superstar - whose real name was Robert Concina - was best known for his 90s smash hit 'Children', which was number one in 12 countries across the globe, and featured on his 1996 album 'Dreamland'.
The musician-and-producer's cause of death is unknown as of yet, but he is believed to have died in Ibiza, Spain of a mystery illness, according to Italian publication DJ Mag Italia.
Bill and Phyllis Evans will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 2. They were married on April 2, 1967 at Faith Lutheran Church in Pocatello.
They celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner on Saturday, March 25.
Bill and Phyllis were stationed in Charleston, South Carolina where Bill went on 5 patrols aboard the USS Lewis and Clark Submarine. They then moved to Chubbuck and have resided there ever since.
