Lamb scores 26 to carry Vermont over Albany 67-49
BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Anthony Lamb had 26 points and 14 rebounds as Vermont topped Albany 67-49 on Saturday.
Ernie Duncan had 16 points for Vermont (19-5, 9-1 America East Conference), which won its fourth straight game. Everett Duncan added 12 points. Robin Duncan had seven rebounds for the home team.
Antonio Rizzuto had 15 points for the Great Danes (8-16, 3-6). Adam Lulka added 10 points. Brent Hank had seven rebounds.
Duncan brothers lead Vermont past Stony Brook, 73-52
STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) — The three Duncan brothers started for the second straight game, combining for 47 points as Vermont cruised to a 73-52 win over Stony Brook in a first-place, America East Conference showdown on Saturday night.
Stony Brook came into the contest as the lone remaining unbeaten team in league play while the Catamounts were coming off a loss to UMBC. Vermont (16-5, 6-1) now holds a half-game lead over the Seawolves (17-4, 5-1).
3 brothers start for Vermont, UMBC wins 74-61
BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Joe Sherburne scored 20 points and UMBC beat Vermont 74-61 in their first matchup since the American East Conference tournament championship last season but it was the Catamounts that made history Wednesday night.
Vermont beats New Hampshire 73-59 for 5th straight win
DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — Anthony Lamb had 28 points and eight rebounds to lead Vermont to a 73-59 victory over New Hampshire on Wednesday night for its fifth straight win.
The Catamounts (14-4, 4-0 America East Conference) have beaten New Hampshire (3-14, 1-3) in 10 consecutive games, and is off to their best start since the 2004-05 squad began 13-4.
Balanced attack leads Vermont over Hartford 81-62
BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Anthony Lamb had 21 points and 12 rebounds and led five Vermont players in double-figure scoring as the Catamounts cruised to an 81-62 victory over Hartford on Saturday night for its fourth straight win.
Vermont (13-4, 3-0 America East Conference) avenged last season's 69-68 loss at home to Hartford (8-9, 1-1) that snapped its nine-game win streak against the Hawks dating to Jan. 29, 2014.
Lamb scores 42, Vermont outlast St Bonaventure in 2 OTs
BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Anthony Lamb poured in a career-high 42 points, scoring five straight late in the second overtime, to propel Vermont to an 82-76 victory over St. Bonaventure on Tuesday night.
Vermont sets school scoring record in 122-56 win
BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Robin Duncan had 18 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists and Vermont broke a 61-year-old school scoring record with a 122-56 drubbing of Division III Lyndon State College on Wednesday night.
Vermont's previous high was 116 against Union on Feb. 16, 1957, winning 116-70.
