DENVER (AP) — John Konchar had 29 points and a career-high 14 assists as Purdue Fort Wayne defeated Denver 94-81 on Thursday night. Matt Holba added 22 points for the Mastodons.
Konchar made 10 of 11 from the free throw line. He added seven rebounds.
Kason Harrell had 15 points for Purdue Fort Wayne (17-10, 9-3 Summit League), which earned its fifth consecutive win. Dee Montgomery added 13 points.
Shahid leads North Dakota St. past Denver 81-71
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Vinnie Shahid had 27 points as North Dakota State got past Denver 81-71 on Saturday.
Shahid shot 11 for 12 from the foul line. He added seven assists.
Tyree Eady had 16 points for North Dakota State (13-12, 7-4 Summit League), which won its fourth consecutive game. Rocky Kreuser added 14 points. Tyson Ward had 11 points and six rebounds for the home team.
Holba scores 23 with 6 3s, Fort Wayne drops Denver 91-81
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Matt Holba scored a career-high 23 points on 6-of-7 shooting from 3-point range and 5-of-5 shooting from the foul line to lead Fort Wayne to a 91-81 win over Denver on Saturday night.
Kason Harrell added 16 points and John Konchar and Matt Weir had 15 apiece as the Mastodons (13-10, 5-3 Summit League) ended a three-game losing streak.
Ronnie Harrell Jr. had 24 points with four 3-pointers and 11 rebounds for the Pioneers (7-15, 2-6). Ade Murkey added 21 points.
Denver notches 1st Summit win, beats North Dakota St. 80-65
DENVER (AP) — Ade Murkey scored 18 points and Denver rallied in the second half to beat North Dakota State 80-65 for its first conference win on Wednesday night, snapping a six-game skid.
Jenkins, Flatten lead South Dakota State past Denver 78-66
BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) — David Jenkins Jr. scored 21 points and Skyler Flatten 20 — each with five 3 pointers — as South Dakota State got past Denver 78-66 on Thursday night.
South Dakota State (13-6, 3-1 Summit League) shot 53 percent from the floor and made 11 of 25 from beyond the arc. Tevin King had 17 points for his ninth straight game in double figures. Mike Daum added 10 points and eight rebounds.
N. Dakota wins first Summit League game, 80-59 over Denver
DENVER (AP) — Aanen Moody scored 15 of his career-high-tying 21 points in the first half and hit 5 of 11 3-pointers and North Dakota never trailed in beating Denver 80-59 on Saturday to end a four-game skid and win its first Summit League contest.
Conner Avants added 14 points, Kienan Walter and Cortez Seales had 12 each, and Marlon Stewart dished seven assist for the Fighting Hawks (7-9, 1-2 Summit League), who made 15 of 31 3s (48 percent). Billy Brown hit four 3s for 12 points.
Kelley’s late layup pushes South Dakota past Denver 71-70
DENVER (AP) — Cody Kelley scored the game-winning layup with seven seconds left to give South Dakota a 71-70 victory over Denver on Wednesday night.
South Dakota's Brandon Armstrong hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 55 with about 10 minutes to play. The Coyotes led until Ronnie Harrell Jr. made the second of two free throws to put Denver up 70-69 with 21 seconds left. Kelley then drove the lane, pumped once and scored off the glass. Harrell missed a jumper with three seconds remaining.

DENVER (AP) — Senior Ronnie Harrell Jr. hit 6 of 9 from 3-point range and finished with a career-high 24 points to help Denver beat Montana State 76-64 on Tuesday night.

Conner Toolson leads Utah Valley in 98-75 rout of Denver
OREM, Utah (AP) — Conner Toolson scored a season-high 26 points and Utah Valley led from the opening minute in a 98-75 win over Denver on Saturday night.
Toolson was 5 of 10 from 3-point range and the Wolverines (6-3) made 13 of 29 3-point attempts while hitting 31 of 58 overall from the field.
Davis scores 25 points in Northern Colorado’s 88-72 win
DENVER (AP) — Jordan Davis was 10-of-20 shooting and scored 25 points with six assists and Northern Colorado withstood Denver's second-half rally to win 88-72 on Wednesday night.
Jonah Radebaugh added 17 points with four of the Bears' 13-pointers while Sam Masten added 11 points and six assists with the team shooting 52 percent, including 48 percent from the arc. Northern Colorado (4-1) had a 34-32 rebounding edge and has outrebounded all of its opponents this season.
Taliaferro’s late basket sends Fairfield past Denver 86-85
SEATTLE (AP) — Landon Taliaferro scored 21 points including the go-ahead layup with 1:41 left and Fairfield beat Denver 86-85 in an Elgin Baylor Classic game on Sunday.
Denver hands Longwood its first loss, 64-62 in Elgin Baylor
SEATTLE (AP) — Ronnie Harrell Jr. hit 3 of 4 from the free throw line in the closing seconds and Denver held off Longwood, 64-62 in a second-round game at the Elgin Baylor Classic at Seattle University on Saturday afternoon.
Spencer Franklin hit two layups in the final :14 seconds to pull Longwood within a point, but each time Harrell answered from the line.
Longwood, which came into the game 5-0, rallied from 10-points down to start the second half but was never able to overtake the Pioneers.
Brown scores 25 to lift No. 12 Kansas St over Denver 64-56
MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — Nothing has come easy for No. 12 Kansas State early this season.
Barry Brown had 15 of his 25 points in the second half and the Wildcats held off Denver 64-56 on Monday night. Brown scored all the points in an 11-0 run that helped K-State stave off an upset bid by the pesky Pioneers.
"I just wanted to help my teammates out," he said. "We were in a slump and I didn't feel the energy from our guys so I tried to step up."
Harrell shines in Denver debut, 62-50 over Maine
DENVER (AP) — Ronnie Harrell Jr. had 18 points and 13 rebounds in his Denver debut Tuesday night and the Pioneers opened the season with a 62-50 win, spoiling Richard Barron's coaching debut for Maine.
Denver took the lead for good at the beginning of a 12-0 run that ended at 50-39 on Joe Rosga's jumper with 7:20 left. Denver extended to 61-44 on Jake Krafka's 3-pointer with 2:44 left.
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Ronnie Harrell Jr. is leaving Creighton to play his final season at the University of Denver as a graduate transfer.
Coach Greg McDermott confirmed Harrell's decision, which Harrell announced on Twitter on Wednesday night. Harrell's hometown is Denver, and Pioneers coach Rodney Billups is his cousin.
Creighton beats highest-ranked foe ever in No. 3 Villanova
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A Creighton season that was beginning to head in the wrong direction righted itself in glorious fashion for at least one afternoon.
The Bluejays came into their game against No. 3 Villanova on Saturday having lost three straight in the Big East. Starting forward Ronnie Harrell Jr. was out of the lineup because of a foot infection, and they were down eight points with 4½ minutes left in regulation.
Goodin’s last-second FTs push No. 5 Xavier past Creighton
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — His team trailing by a point, Xavier's Quentin Goodin was bumped as he drove to the basket. Suddenly, he heard the sweet sound of the referee's whistle with three-tenths of a second showing on the clock.
"Every kid's dream," Goodin said. "Everybody wants to be in that situation. On the road, down... and your free throws are the game winners. I don't think it's any better than that."
Reserve Harrell leads Creighton past No. 19 Pirates 80-63
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The way Creighton let a road win slip away at Seton Hall last month surely provided motivation for the Bluejays for Wednesday night's rematch. If that weren't enough, the Bluejays also had redemption on their minds after an ugly 22-point loss at Xavier last weekend.
With Marcus Foster scoring 25 points and reserve Ronnie Harrell Jr. adding a career-high 18, Creighton unleashed some pent-up fury in an 80-63 win over No. 19 Seton Hall.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Marcus Foster scored 25 points with five 3-pointers, Martin Krampelj added 14 points with 11 rebounds, and Creighton rallied to beat St. John's 78-71 on Monday night for the Red Storm's third straight loss.
Creighton cruises to 106-66 win over SIU-Edwardsville
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Martin Krampelj scored 20 points and Creighton rolled to a 103-66 victory over SIU-Edwardsville on Saturday night.
Krampelj made 9 of 10 field goals. Khyri Thomas added 17 points for Creighton (5-1). Marcus Foster had 15 points, Kaleb Joseph chipped in 12 and Ronnie Harrell Jr. finished with 11.
All 11 players scored for the Bluejays, who shot 58 percent from the floor to bounce back from their only loss, a 65-59 defeat to No. 22 Baylor on Nov. 21.
