ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy vows he's playing at Green Bay on Sunday after missing one game with a rib cartilage injury.
McCoy made the announcement after saying he was able to run at full speed during practice Wednesday. McCoy has been sidelined since Bills center Ryan Groy fell on the left side of McCoy's chest in the third quarter of Buffalo's 31-20 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 16.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Bills running back LeSean McCoy has been diagnosed with damage to his rib cartilage, leaving his status uncertain for Buffalo's game at the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
Coach Sean McDermott listed McCoy day to day, and didn't rule him out from playing. McDermott didn't provide much detail on Monday except to say McCoy's status will be determined by how much pain he can tolerate.
BALTIMORE (AP) — In their first game under defensive coordinator Don Martindale, the Baltimore Ravens couldn't draw up a better scenario.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman will make his third career start Sunday. In the first one, he threw five interceptions in the first half against the Chargers last November, and for an encore he completed just five passes for 57 yards against the Colts in the snow before he was removed after being concussed.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Bills' quarterback competition is still unsettled. Their defense showed signs of looking lost in giving up a touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage against Cincinnati.
And Buffalo's patchwork offensive line is getting manhandled.
These are not encouraging signs less than two weeks before the Bills open the regular season at Baltimore.
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams signed former Washington center John Sullivan and former Houston linebacker Carlos Thompson on Wednesday.
Sullivan is the latest candidate to replace Tim Barnes, who was released last month. Barnes had spent the past six seasons with the Rams, starting 36 games.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams have signed offensive lineman Ryan Groy to an offer sheet, putting the Buffalo Bills in a position to have to match the contract for the restricted free agent.
The move was revealed on the NFL's daily transactions list published Tuesday.
The Bills retained the rights to Groy by extending him a one-year contract tender last week. ESPN.com reported the Rams made Groy a two-year, $5 million offer, with $3.5 million guaranteed.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills have extended contract offers in retaining the rights to running back Mike Gillislee and offensive lineman Ryan Groy.
The moves announced Tuesday give the Bills the right to match any offers teams make to the two restricted free agents. Additionally, the Bills would be compensated a fifth-round draft pick should Gillislee sign elsewhere once the NFL's free-agency period starts on Thursday.
