BRIDGEPORT — The chorus doesn’t cease from Brooklyn, Long Island and all other points on the other side of the Sound. One imagines it won’t end until either the New York Islanders call up Ryan Pulock or their season ends.
Even as Islanders fans clamor, tweet and beg for No. 6 to show up on their defense in orange and blue, Pulock has remained a Bridgeport Sound Tiger, still in orange and blue but with the other crest on the front.
BRIDGEPORT — In 2013-14, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers used 65 players, only five shy of the league record and all the more unfathomable considering that 42 of them played during the season’s last five and a half weeks.
Somewhat remarkably, five of those 42 players were in the Sound Tigers’ lineup Sunday. Jesse Graham, Ryan Pulock, Kyle Burroughs and Josh Holmstrom were all youngsters then, playing their first few professional games, but they’re all Sound Tigers regulars now.
BRIDGEPORT — When a young player comes back from a stint in the NHL, the first inclination is to ask what they got out of that time.
For Ryan Pulock, though, the question is unfortunately less applicable. One shift into his first NHL game this season, Pulock suffered a broken foot on a blocked shot on Oct. 21.
“It’s been a long recovery,” Pulock said. “I went four weeks without putting weight on my leg at all.

Islanders’ Bridgeport visit features a competition for spots on defense
BRIDGEPORT — There’s a chance the free-agent signing with the biggest impact on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers this year never plays a game for them.
The New York Islanders signed Dennis Seidenberg this week, giving them a sixth experienced NHL defenseman. His arrival probably pushes at least one more young defenseman to the Sound Tigers.
