FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Dinero Mercurius scored the last four points of the game with just under three minutes to push Florida Gulf Coast past NJIT 57-55 on Wednesday night.
Diego Willis made a corner 3-pointer to give NJIT a 55-53 lead. Mercurius answered with a 3-point play with 2:31 remaining, and then split a pair of free throws with 17 seconds to go. Following an NJIT timeout, Shyquan Gibbs missed a potential game-winning 3 with six seconds left.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Garrison Mathews scored 31 points and pulled down 10 rebounds — both season highs — and Lipscomb held off Florida Gulf Coast 89-81 on Thursday in a rematch of last season's Atlantic Sun Conference championship that sent the Bisons to the NCAA Tournament.

Overlooked Connecticut players find a home at Iona
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Schadrac Casimir was overlooked in high school.
Maybe it was because he was 5-foot-10, maybe it was because he did not play on a sneaker company-sponsored AAU team or maybe it was because he was from Connecticut, a state many scouts just drive through between trips to Boston and New York.
Maybe it was all those things.
Whatever the reasoning, Casimir was not getting many looks from Division-I programs his senior season at Trinity Catholic despite leading the FCIAC in scoring.
