SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Shawn Johnson scored 28 points and grabbed a career-best 17 rebounds and Incarnate Word beat Houston Baptist 83-71 on Wednesday night.
Keaton Hervey added 15 points with four rebounds and Charles Brown III chipped in 11 points for the Cardinals (7-20, 2-15 Southland Conference) who end their season hosting Abilene Christian on Saturday.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Joshua Filmore made seven 3-pointers for his 21 points and Southeastern Louisiana defeated Incarnate Word 86-68 on Wednesday night.
It was the second time this season Filmore went 7 of 11 from the arc, matching his Jan. 17 effort against Houston Baptist.
The Lions (15-10, 9-3) are tied for second place in the Southland Conference with Sam Houston State and New Orleans, a half-game back of Nicholls (9-2).
Texas A&M-CC rallies for 4th straight win, beating UIW 56-51
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Joseph Kilgore scored nine of his 11 points in the second half as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi got off to a slow start before rallying in the second period for a 56-51 win over Incarnate Word on Saturday afternoon for its fourth straight victory.
Puou jumper spurs New Orleans over Incarnate Word 68-58
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Makur Puou scored 18 points on 8-for-9 shooting and helped spark a late run and New Orleans pulled away from Incarnate Word in the final minutes for a 68-58 win on Saturday, remaining poised to claim a share of the lead in the Southland Conference.
New Orleans (11-10, 8-2) entered Saturday a half-game behind Nicholls State (13-8, 7-1) which was playing third place Southeast Louisiana later Saturday.
Houston Baptist defeats Incarnate Word 102-86 in Southland

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) — Kevon Harris scored 19 points and led four players into double-figure scoring as Stephen F. Austin rolled over Incarnate Word, 83-63 in a Southland Conference battle Saturday night.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Simi Socks scored 20 points with eight rebounds and Incarnate Word beat Missouri-Kansas City 77-73 on Saturday afternoon.
Socks was 6 of 9 from the floor and 6 of 8 from the free-throw line for the Cardinals (5-3). Shawn Johnson added 15 points and led the team with 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. Charles Brown III had 12 points and Christian Peevy 10.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Keaton Hervey had 17 points to lead six Incarnate Word players in double figures as the Cardinals stormed past Division III Texas Lutheran 91-63 on Tuesday night.
Christian Peevy came off the bench to score 15 on 5-of-8 shooting as all nine Incarnate Word players put points on the board. Simi Socks added 13 points with seven rebounds, with Shawn Johnson and Sam Burmeister chipping in 11 points apiece for Incarnate Word (4-3).

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Shawn Johnson and Charles Brown scored 19 points apiece to lead Incarnate Word to an 88-49 victory over Division III McMurry on Friday night.
Johnson made 7 of 10 field goals and had game-highs of eight rebounds, five assists and four steals. Brown finished 9-of-15 shooting with six boards. Christian Peevy added 15 points for the Cardinals (3-0), who shot 52 percent (35 of 67) from the floor.
Incarnate Word holds off Southwestern 87-71
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Charles Brown scored 24 points and had 13 rebounds to lead Incarnate Word to a season opening 87-71 win over Division III-level Southwestern on Friday night.
Simi Socks added 18 points and Christian Peevy and Sam Burmeister had nine points each for Incarnate Word, which hit just one of 13 (7.7 percent) from 3-point range but shot 42 percent (30 for 72) from the field overall.
