MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Troy's offense limped through November with a handful of injuries, and a subpar game against Appalachian State in the regular-season finale cost the Trojans a shot at winning the Sun Belt Conference title.
After a few weeks of rest, the Trojans were healthy for the Dollar General Bowl. It made all the difference.

Turnovers help Troy trounce Florida A&M 59-7
TROY, Ala. (AP) — Kaleb Barker threw four touchdown passes and ran for another score, the Troy defense forced turnovers that led to four scores and the Trojans beat Florida A&M 59-7 on Saturday night.
Barker scored on a 1-yard keeper after Shon Spralling blocked a Rattlers' punt, then hit Damion Willis on a 2-yard TD pass after Rasool Clemons recovered a fumble. Tron Folsom's interception set up Barker's 13-yard TD pass to Willis for a 21-0 first-quarter lead.
Silvers’ 395 yards passing leads Troy over S. Alabama 28-21
MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Brandon Silvers passed for a career-high 395 yards and rallied Troy with the final 18 points to beat South Alabama 28-21 on Thursday night.
Silvers delivered the key strike on a 42-yard pass to Sidney Davis that moved the Trojans (6-1, 4-0 Sun Belt Conference) to the 1 with 1:22 left. The South Alabama (3-4, 0-4) defense then allowed Jordan Chunn a free path into the end zone, conceding the go-ahead score to preserve some time for a response.
Silvers accounts for 3 TDs; Troy routs New Mexico State 52-6
TROY, Ala. (AP) — Brandon Silvers threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score to help Troy rout New Mexico State 52-6 in the Sun Belt Conference opener for both teams on Saturday night.
Silvers was 23 of 32 for 246 yards. Deondre Douglas had six receptions for 101 yards, and Emanuel Thompson and Sidney Davis each had scoring catches.
