Yu Delu and Cao Yupeng admitted to manipulating the scores of matches they played in certain ranking tournaments from 2015-17, following an investigation resulting from suspicious betting patterns in the Far East.

O'Sullivan, who had already won the frame, stayed composed to sink the pink and was one ball away from a total clearance of 136 points. But rather than pot the black himself he handed his cue to the giddy fan, who was dressed in blue jeans and a grey top and carrying an orange handbag.

From 10-4 down, the world No. 1 won 10 of the next 11 frames to take charge against Higgins, a four-time champion from Scotland playing his first final in six years.
