Agency consents to coal lease expansions in western Colorado

Oil company cited for improper drilling in Colorado
DENVER (AP) — A Texas oil company entangled in a dispute over leases to drill in Colorado was hit with three federal "non-compliance" notices for improper drilling that led to a spill.
The Denver Post reported (http://dpo.st/2u85zQq ) Sunday Bureau of Land Management officials ordered SG Interests to stop drilling and clean up spilled foam chemicals, wastewater and drill cuttings.
BLM reorganizing field office in Grand Junction
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) — The Bureau of Land Management is reorganizing and changing its field office in Grand Junction from the northwest Colorado district to the southwest district.
Colorado BLM spokesman Steven Hall says the northwest district is too big and already has field offices in the Colorado River Valley based in Silt, Grand Junction, a White River office in Meeker, the Little Snake office in Craig and another in Kremmling.
