LOS ANGELES (AP) — Steven Haney scored a career-best 31 points and Loyola Marymount held on for an 85-79 win over Pepperdine on Saturday afternoon, snapping a three-game skid.
Haney was 8 of 15 from the field, including six 3-pointers, and made all nine of his free throws for the Lions (8-17, 3-11 West Coast Conference). Mattias Markusson added 16 points with 10 rebounds. James Batemon and Cameron Allen scored 13 points each. Batemon dished 10 assists.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — D'Marques Tyson made six 3-pointers and scored 22 points, and Marcus Shaver Jr. sank the winning free throws with two seconds left as Portland edged Loyola Marymount 68-66 on Saturday.
LMU's Steven Haney tied the game with two free throws with 13 seconds left before Shaver was fouled at the rim. James Batemon got a decent look at a 3-point try but was too strong.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Isaiah Pineiro had a career-high 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting and handed out nine assists to help San Diego beat Loyola Marymount 89-82 on Saturday.
The Toreros (15-7, 6-4 West Coast Conference) led by double digits for most of the second half and Pineiro's jumper with 1:20 left made it 84-69. The Lions (6-15, 1-9) rallied to get as close as five in the final seconds.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Franklin Porter made a key 3-pointer and finished with 16 points to lead Portland to a 72-65 victory over Loyola Marymount on Saturday night.
Portland (8-13, 2-6 West Coast Conference) has won consecutive games since snapping a six-game losing skid. Loyola Marymount (6-13, 1-7) has lost three straight and nine of its last 10 games.
PROVO, Utah (AP) — Elijah Bryant scored 20 of his 29 points in the first half and BYU defeated Loyola Marymount 82-67 on Thursday night.
With Bryant making 7 of 9 shots, including 4 of his 5 3-pointers, the Cougars (16-4, 5-2 West Coast Conference) shot 67 percent and rolled to a 46-29 lead at halftime. Bryant had five points in an early 20-2 run that pushed the lead to 11 and the margin was in double figures for the last 14½ minutes. BYU opened the game making 11 of 13 shots.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Eli Scott scored 18 points and Jeffery McClendon made three free throws with 0.7 seconds left and Loyola Marymount upended San Francisco 67-65 to snap a six-game skid Thursday night.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bryce Canda had 20 points and 13 rebounds, Holland Woods added 20 points and Portland State beat Loyola Marymount 94-85 on Wednesday night for its third straight win.
Canda was 8 of 14 from the floor and made four 3-pointers. Woods was 6-of-9 shooting and made 8 of 9 free throws. Brandon Hollins chipped in 14 points for Portland State (7-2).

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Justinian Jessup had 22 points, Marcus Dickinson and Lexus Williams combined to score 21 of their 26 points in the second half and Boise State beat Loyola Marymount 68-48 on Saturday night.
Dickinson scored 11 of his 13 — and Williams had 10 — points in the second half. Jessup and Dickinson each hit three 3-pointers, while Chris Sengfelder and Zach Haney had 10 rebounds apiece for Boise State (4-1).
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — James Batemon scored 14 of his a career-high 26 points in the final six minutes as Loyola Marymount battled from as many as 12 points down to fend off Incarnate Word 91-87 Wednesday night.

Scott, a freshman, made 7 of 15 shots and collected six rebounds for the Lions (1-1). Mattias Markusson, a 7-foot-3 sophomore from Sweden, scored a career-high 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds. James Batemon added 12 points and Steven Haney 10.
