FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — Defensive end Steven Means has signed a one-year contract extension with the Atlanta Falcons after making four starts in 2018.
Means had one sack and 14 tackles in eight games last season, his first with Atlanta. He had three tackles for losses.
Eagles release 2017 4th-round pick Donnel Pumphrey
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Running back Donnel Pumphrey was among the players released by the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday.
Pumphrey was a fourth-round pick in 2017 after becoming the all-time NCAA rushing leader at San Diego State. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve because of a hamstring injury and missed the first three preseason games this year because of injuries. Pumphrey could return on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Eagles starting linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is inactive for Sunday's NFC championship game against Minnesota because of a hamstring injury.
Ellerbe was Philadelphia's third middle linebacker after Jordan Hicks and then backup Joe Walker sustained season-ending injuries. Najee Goode will likely take his spot in the lineup.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Eagles rookie cornerback Sidney Jones is inactive for Saturday's divisional playoff against the Atlanta Falcons.
Jones, a second-round pick, returned for Week 17 after missing the first 15 games following offseason surgery on his Achilles. He strained his hamstring and was uncertain to play even if healthy because of his inexperience.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Eagles left guard Steven Wisniewski was inactive against the Oakland Raiders on Monday, forcing the NFC East champions to start another backup on the left side of the offensive line.
Wisniewski injured his ankle in Week 14. Chance Warmack starts in his place for the second straight game. Philadelphia already is missing nine-time Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters. Halapoulivaati Vaitai has filled in since Peters went down for the season in October.

Walker was among Philadelphia's inactives with a neck injury. He was listed as questionable on the final injury report after not practicing all week. He was the only starter out for the Eagles.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Eagles were without starting cornerback Ronald Darby for the fifth straight week and starting linebacker Mychal Kendricks for Monday night's game against Washington.
Darby practiced this week for the first time since he dislocated his right ankle in the opener against the Redskins. Darby was listed as inactive and might be ready to play Sunday against San Francisco.

CHICAGO (AP) — Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins and several teammates raised their right fists during the national anthem in a protest prior to their game against the Chicago Bears.
Jenkins said Saturday he would lead teammates in a demonstration against social injustice. Cornerback Ron Brooks and defensive end Steven Means joined him. It was not clear if another Eagles player joined in.
