Starks and Chandler help lift Aggies over Georgia 73-56
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — When the Texas A&M Aggies were struggling through a stretch where they dropped six of seven games, coach Billy Kennedy maintained the same upbeat and optimistic attitude with his team.
That, his players say, is what helped them get on track and win their last two games, capped by Tuesday night's 73-56 victory over Georgia.
Texas A&M erases deficit, beats Missouri 68-59
COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — There wasn't much of a size difference between the biggest and smallest Texas A&M players on the court against Missouri on Saturday night, so Aggies coach Billy Kennedy changed his defensive strategy at halftime. The Aggies started switching screens at every position, and that helped them erase a 12-point, second-half deficit and beat the Tigers 68-59.
Starks’ 3-pointer gives Texas A&M win at buzzer
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — After trailing for nearly the entire game, Texas A&M had a chance to defeat Alabama on the road.
With 3.4 seconds left, TJ Starks caught the inbound pass, which was lobbed over his head because Alabama was pressing, sprinted right outside the 3-point arc, and with his momentum still going toward the baseline, floated a shot that banked in for an 81-80 victory .
Texas A&M uses balanced attack to thump Marshall 92-68
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — The holidays are a time for sharing - and Texas A&M coach Billy Kennedy is loving what he's witnessing from his players on that front.
"I like to see it when we have five, almost six guys in double figures," Kennedy said. "That means we're sharing the ball, and we're harder to defend."
Texas A&M bests Oregon State 67-64 in the Dam City Classic
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A long layoff didn't rattle the Aggies.
TJ Starks had 18 points and eight assists and Texas A&M won their third straight game with a 67-64 victory over Oregon State at the Dam City Classic on Saturday night.
Brandon Mahan, Wendell Mitchell and John Walker III each added 10 points for the Aggies (4-4), who hadn't played for nearly two weeks because of a cancelled game.

Texas A&M suspends 2 for 1 game, DJ Hogg for 3
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — No. 8 Texas A&M has suspended leading scorer DJ Hogg for three games and freshman guards JJ Caldwell and TJ Starks for one game, it was announced before Thursday night's game with Buffalo.
Hogg, a junior forward who averages 14.6 points and 6.8 rebounds, was suspended for a violation of Texas A&M policy.
