SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Tahj Eaddy hit three of four free throws in the final half minute and Santa Clara held off a furious second-half rally from Pacific for a 64-59 win in a West Coast Conference battle on Saturday night.
Pacific, which trailed at intermission by 20 points, 41-21, got within three points twice in the final 1:19, but could not get closer.
The Tigers hit 22 of 50 from the field (44 percent) and knocked down 5 of 16 from distance while collecting 12 assists on 22 made baskets.
Ford carries Saint Mary’s (Cal) over Santa Clara 66-55

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Tahj Eaddy scored 24 of his 28 points in the second half, including three free throws with 1.9 seconds to play and Santa Clara defeated Pepperdine 67-67 on Thursday night.
Eaddy's heroics were set up after he only made 1 of 2 from the line to give the Broncos a 64-62 lead with 19 seconds remaining. Colbey Ross then drove down the line and made the tying basket at 8.3 seconds. However, he failed on his chance to convert a 3-point play.
Hachimura leads No. 7 Gonzaga past Santa Clara, 91-48
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Santa Clara never had a chance with No. 7 Gonzaga at full strength for the first time this season.
Rui Hachimura scored 25 points, Brandon Clarke added 16 and Gonzaga routed Santa Clara 91-48 to open defense of its West Coast Conference regular-season title.
"That was exactly what we wanted to do," Gonzaga coach Mark Few said about the impressive offensive and defensive performance. "We had our defense going. We were able to score in transition."

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Tahj Eaddy scored 21 of his career-high 30 points in the first half to help Santa Clara open West Coast Conference play with a 68-56 win over San Diego on Thursday night.
The Broncos (9-6) never trailed and pulled away with 13 straight points to a 25-5 lead in the first half. Eaddy scored 11 points during that run and Santa Clara led 35-18 at halftime.
Eaddy, Vrankic lead Santa Clara over WSU 79-71
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Santa Clara opened the season with four consecutive losses, but coach Herb Sendek said that was not the same team that took the floor against Washington State on Saturday.
Tahj Eaddy and Josip Vrankic each scored 16 points as Santa Clara beat Washington State 79-71 in the non-conference finale for both teams at the Spokane Arena.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Trey Wertz implored his teammates to stay positive after Santa Clara wasted a big lead in the final minutes of regulation. Then the Broncos freshman took over in overtime to make sure they stayed upbeat.
Wertz scored 11 of his 28 points in the second overtime, Josip Vrankic had a career-high 22 points and Santa Clara held on after blowing a 19-point lead in regulation, beating Southern California 102-92 on Tuesday night.

Jones finished Jared Stutzman's drive-and-dish with 17.8 seconds left to give the Bengals (4-3) their first lead in over 15 minutes at 67-66. Tahj Eaddy missed a floater for the Broncos (3-6) with four seconds left. Jones was fouled after grabbing the rebound and made 1 of 2 free throws to cap the scoring.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tahj Eaddy sank a 3-pointer with two seconds to go in overtime to give Southeast Missouri State a 78-75 win over Tennessee State in the first round of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Wednesday night.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — DeJuan Marrero scored a career-high 24 points and had 12 rebounds and Miguel Dicent scored all 14 of his points late to lead Morehead State to an 89-81 victory over Southeast Missouri on Saturday.
Marrero has double-doubles in five of his last six games and 12 for the season. Xavier Moon added 17 points, Ronnye Beamon 14 and Treshaad Williams 12 for the Eagles (11-12, 7-3 Ohio Valley). The Eagles shot 59 percent overall and were 10 of 15 on 3-pointers.
SE Missouri beats Eastern Illinois 83-71 behind Cleveland
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Antonius Cleveland scored 18 points, Trey Kellum had his second double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Southeast Missouri beat Eastern Illinois 83-71 on Saturday, handing the Panthers their fourth straight loss.
Tahj Eaddy also had 15 points for the Redhawks (9-13, 4-3 Ohio Valley), who scored 24 points off of 18 Panthers turnovers and outscored them 30-20 in the paint.
SE Missouri State holds off late SIU Edwardsville rally
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Denzel Mahoney scored 20 points with six rebounds and Southeast Missouri State held off a late charge from SIU Edwardsville to defeat the Cougars 79-76 on Thursday night.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Denzel Mahoney and Jamaal Calvin scored 15 points apiece and Southeast Missouri routed Eastern Kentucky 81-48 in an Ohio Valley Conference opener on Saturday.
Mahoney and Calvin each made three 3-pointers as the Redhawks shot 13 of 24 (54 percent) from long range. Antonius Cleveland added 14 points for Southeast Missouri (6-10, 1-0 Ohio Valley Conference). Jaylen Benton and Tahj Eaddy had 10 points apiece.
