HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Miles Wright scored 21 points and Brendan Barry scored 14 and Dartmouth held off a late push from Columbia for an 80-78 win on Friday night.
Dartmouth (7-19, 3-10 Ivy League) shot 30 of 53 (56.6 percent), including 12 of 24 from 3-point range. Adrease Jackson and Taylor Johnson each scored 12 for Dartmouth.
Dartmouth tops Brown 66-63 on Knight’s career night
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Chris Knight scored a career-high 18 points with eight rebounds and three blocks and Dartmouth beat Brown 66-63 on Saturday night for its second win in 12 games.
Taylor Johnson and Miles Wright scored 15 points apiece for the Big Green (6-17, 2-8 Ivy League), which led 37-34 at halftime despite going without a field goal for 5 1/2 minutes.
Dartmouth downs Princeton 72-56
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Taylor Johnson scored 21 points and Dartmouth picked up its first conference win, downing Princeton 72-56 on Saturday night, snapping a 10-game skid.
Johnson was 7 of 9 from the field including two 3-pointers for the Big Green (5-16, 1-7 Ivy league) Adrease Jackson added 16 points and Miles Wright led the team with 10 rebounds in addition to his seven points.
The team shot 47 percent from the field compared to 40 percent for Princeton and had a 43-23 rebounding edge.
Penn holds off Dartmouth 64-61, remains undefeated in Ivy
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — AJ Brodeur had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Pennsylvania closed on a 13-6 surge and held off Dartmouth 64-61 on Friday night for its fifth straight win.
Penn (17-6, 7-0) remains alone atop the Ivy League standings, and travels to second-place Harvard (11-11, 6-1) on Saturday. Dartmouth (4-16, 0-7) has lost 10 straight, including four of its last five by single digits.
Morgan, Davis help Cornell slip past Dartmouth, 86-85
ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) — Matt Morgan scored 17 of his 28 points in the final 8½ minutes and Joel Davis hit two free throws with 25 seconds left to help Cornell beat Dartmouth 86-85 on Friday night.
Davis finished with 16 points. Stone Gettings had 20 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Steven Julian added nine points and 10 rebounds for Cornell (8-10, 2-3 Ivy League).
Yale tops Dartmouth 74-64 behind Copeland’s 25 points
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Alex Copeland scored 25 points, Trey Phills added 17 with a career-high nine rebounds, and Yale beat Dartmouth 74-64 on Saturday night.
Miye Oni scored 15 points with three 3-pointers and five assists for the Bulldogs (9-11, 2-2 Ivy League), who shot 50.9 percent from the field to Dartmouth's 45.5 percent.
Harvard blows big lead before beating Dartmouth 62-57 in OT
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Seth Towns made five 3-pointers and matched his career high with 26 points, Justin Bassey finished with a double-double and Harvard blew a big second-half lead before holding off Dartmouth 62-57 in overtime on Saturday.
Bassey totaled 10 points and 10 rebounds for the first double-double of his career for the Crimson (7-10, 2-0 Ivy League), who saw a 17-point lead evaporate over the final 12½ minutes of the second half.
Bell-Haynes perfect 10, Vermont tops Dartmouth 91-79
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Trae Bell-Haynes scored a season-high 27 points on perfect 10 of 10 shooting and Payton Henson added 20 as Vermont raced away for a 91-79 non-conference victory over Dartmouth on Wednesday night.
Cam Ward added 14 points for the Catamounts (12-5), who have won 10 straight against neighboring-state rival Dartmouth (4-9), though Big Green still leads the all-time series 57-46. The win matches Vermont's program record 10 nonconference wins in a season.
Barry scores 25, Dartmouth pulls away from Bryant 75-58
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Brendan Barry had five 3-pointers and 25 points, both career highs, and Dartmouth pulled away down the stretch to hand Bryant its eighth-straight loss, 75-58 on Friday.
Taylor Johnson added 14 points for the Big Green (4-6), which ended a two-game losing streak and gave coach David McLaughlin his 200th career win. McLaughlin's first 189 victories came at Division II Stonehill.
Knight scores 16 as Dartmouth races past D-III Emerson 78-43
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Chris Knight scored 16 points and Taylor Johnson 11 as Dartmouth defeated Emerson College 78-43 Tuesday night.
Knight, a freshman in just his second game, was near-perfect, shooting 7 for 8 from the floor, adding five boards and a steal for Big Green (1-1). Dartmouth shot 51 percent (28 of 55) with nine 3-pointers. Twelve players scored and eight different players sank 3s for Dartmouth, Brendan Barry with two.
