The veteran threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to MyCole Pruitt with 4:30 left and the Titans rallied to beat the Washington Redskins 25-16 on Saturday for their fourth straight victory.

Mariota, Titans slip past Panthers for 34-27 preseason win
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Marcus Mariota and the rest of the Titans offense finally got going in the preseason.
With some help from the Panthers.
Mariota threw a touchdown pass and the Titans edged the Panthers 34-27 on Saturday.
The Titans (1-1), who were held to just three points last week against the New York Jets, scored on their first three possessions against Carolina, as they used one long drive and two Panthers turnovers to build a 17-0 lead.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have signed wide receiver Taywan Taylor, leaving only receiver Corey Davis as the last draft pick to reach a contract.
The Titans announced the deal Monday.
Taylor was the 72nd selection overall out of Western Kentucky and a two-time All-Conference USA player. He caught 253 passes for 4,234 yards and 41 touchdowns in his career, which he capped with 98 receptions for 1,730 yards and 17 TDs as a senior.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have signed fifth-round draft pick Jayon Brown, a linebacker from UCLA.
Brown led the Bruins in tackles each of his last two seasons at UCLA and earned first-team all-Pac-12 honors as a senior. He finished his college career with 220 tackles, three interceptions and four fumble recoveries.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Mike White threw three touchdown passes, Anthony Wales accounted for three scores and Western Kentucky beat Marshall 60-6 on Friday night to secure the Conference USA East division crown.
WKU (9-3, 7-1) will host Louisiana Tech (8-4, 6-2) in the conference championship on Dec. 3.
Wales had 13 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns and added a 16-yard scoring reception while Quinton Baker had 10 carries for 104 yards and a TD.

Scoring came at will for Western Kentucky (5-3, 3-1 Conference USA), logging points on eight of its first nine possessions to lead 52-14 at halftime.
The Hilltoppers' scored 31 points in the second quarter, the most since joining the FBS in 2009.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Mike White threw for 517 yards and three touchdowns in his debut as starting quarterback as Western Kentucky opened the season and Conference USA play with a 46-14 drubbing of Rice.
White, who was 25 for 31 passing, is only the third quarterback to throw for 500 or more yards in Western Kentucky history.
