Seattle (7-2) has won four straight after having played its last eight games at home. The Redhawks face Eastern Washington at home on Dec. 1 and Omaha on Dec. 6, but don't stray far staying in Seattle to play at Washington on Dec. 9. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A.J. Harris scored a career-high 31 points and went 9-of-11 from the field and New Mexico State held off a late New Mexico rally to win 98-94 on Saturday.
Terrell Brown added 20 for the Aggies (3-1).
Vance Jackson had 27, Anthony Mathis 22 and Corey Manigault 20 for the Lobos (2-1).
But that wasn't enough to overcome New Mexico State's hot shooting as the Aggies went 30-for 53 from the field and 12-of-23 on 3-pointers. Harris hit all six of 3-pointers.
Seattle U beats Washington State for first time in 40 years
KENT, Wash. (AP) — Terrell Brown scored a game-high 20 points, with eight coming in the final 86 seconds, and Seattle University held off Washington State 78-69 on Wednesday night.
It was the first time Seattle U. has beaten the Cougars since the 1978-79 season.
"You just want to try and move up the pecking order in the state," Redhawks second-year coach Jim Hayford said. "Tonight, we made the most of this opportunity."
New Mexico State pulls away in 2nd half, downs UTEP 96-69
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — Clayton Henry hit four 3-pointers, scored 14 points and deep bench helped New Mexico State defeat UTEP 96-69 in the Battle of I-10 on Friday night, claiming eight in a row in the series.
Thirteen Aggies got playing time and their bench contributed 48 points. Ivan Aurrecoechea added 12 points for New Mexico State (2-0), Terrell Brown 11, C.J. Bobbitt and Eli Chuha 10 each.
New Mexico State uses deep rotation to beat NDSU 73-56
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — JoJo Zamora had 16 points, Terrell Brown added 13 and New Mexico State beat North Dakota State 73-56 in the season-opening Summit League/WAC Challenge on Tuesday night.
Twelve Aggies played at least 11 minutes and no one played more than 22.
The Aggies opened with an 18-3 run and led by double digits the rest of the way. They went into halftime up 36-20 and had their largest lead at 69-42 with six minutes left in the game.
