LONDON (AP) — British theater critics on Wednesday praised a new stage musical about the life of Tina Turner — one that also has the approval of the star herself.
Turner was in the audience for the opening night of "Tina" at London's Aldwych Theatre. After the show Tuesday, she joked that "I've found a replacement" in Adrienne Warren, who plays the brassy singer in the musical.
Tina Turner has "forgiven" her late ex-husband Ike Turner.
The 78-year-old singer no longer bears a grudge against her former spouse - who passed away in 2007 - despite her claims he abused her and controlled her life until they split in 1976, but if he was still alive, she'd still want to keep her distance from him.

CAL THOMAS: In wake of scandals, will we seek path to more virtuous life?
Rarely has the idiom "virtue is its own reward" looked better than it does in light of the sex scandals sweeping the nation. The so-called "prudishness," of a previous generation and the respect most men were once taught to have for women -- and which Hugh Hefner and his disciples of "free love" mocked -- are looking better with each passing day.
Conservatives have been told they can't impose their morality on others, so how is its opposite working out for individuals and the culture?

Former Toby Keith’s to become the new Boathouse
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) — If it was summer, a younger Sean Pepe and his friends could end up at the Boathouse three times in one month.

She wanted me to dress up as Tina Turner because she wants to re-create the “We Are the World” video and is asking friends and family to dress up as all the stars in the video.
