HOUSTON (AP) — Romell Quioto scored the go-ahead goal in the 87th minute to cap the Houston Dynamo's 3-2 comeback victory over the San Jose Earthquakes 3-2 on Saturday night.
San Jose's Chris Wondolowski scored his 143rd MLS goal on a penalty kick to open the scoring in the 37th minute. Wondolowski is two goals behind Landon Donovan for the career record.
Manotas sets franchise record, Dynamo beat Timbers 4-1
HOUSTON (AP) — Mauro Manotas had two goals and an assist and set a franchise record for goals in a calendar year, helping the Houston Dynamo snap a 10-game winless streak with a 4-1 victory over the Portland Timbers on Saturday night.
Manotas gave the Dynamo a 2-1 lead in the 39th minute, tapping in Alberth Elis' low cross. It was Manotas' 17th goal in all competitions this year.
HOUSTON (AP) — Cory Burke scored the go-ahead goal in the 70th minute, helping the Philadelphia Union beat the 10-man Houston Dynamo 3-1 on Wednesday night.
Philadelphia (8-10-3) won for the third time on the road this season. Houston (7-7-6) lost for the first time in five games.
Rapids and Dynamo play to scoreless draw
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Tim Howard made a point blank save late in the first half and the Colorado Rapids held on for a scoreless draw with the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night.
Luis Gil was sprung by Tomas Martinez's through ball but Howard made the reaction to stop Gil's shot and keep it scoreless for the Rapids (4-11-4). Howard finished with two saves for his fourth shutout of the season.
Joe Willis had three saves for his third clean sheet of the year for the Dynamo (7-6-5).

HOUSTON (AP) — Tomas Martinez scored in the 30th minute and the Houston Dynamo beat the Colorado Rapids 2-0 on Saturday night to snap a two-game losing streak.
Martinez stole the ball from Johan Blomberg, split two more defensemen and launched a shot with his left foot that Tim Howard saved. But the ball returned to Martinez off the ricochet and he punched it in off the rebound with his right past an off-balance Howard.
TORONTO (AP) — Maxi Urruti scored in the 11th minute and Jesse Gonzalez made a series of big saves in FC Dallas' 1-0 victory over Toronto FC on Friday night.
Gonzalez got a hand to Jonathan Osorio's shot to preserve the victory as seven minutes of added time made for a wild finale. Referee Chris Penso issued three yellow cards to Dallas (5-1-5) for time-wasting, two in stoppage time.
Defending MLS champion Toronto (3-7-1) dominated long stretches, but couldn't beat Gonzalez.
Elis scores 7th goal, Dynamo beat NYC 3-1
HOUSTON (AP) — Alberth Elis scored his seventh goal of the season to help the Houston Dynamo beat New York City FC 3-1 on Friday night.
Houston (5-3-3) won for the third time in four games. NYC (7-3-3) is winless in its last five road games — with three losses.
Elis scores twice as Dynamo beat Fire 3-2
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) — Alberth Elis scored two second-half goals to help the Houston Dynamo beat the Chicago Fire 3-2 on Sunday for their first road win of the season.
Elis, on a one-on-one breakaway, cut back to evade defender Johan Kappelhof and ripped a right-footer from the center of the box into the back of the net to give Houston (4-3-3) a 3-2 lead in the 74th minute.
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Jahmir Hyka scored in the closing minutes to help the San Jose Earthquakes to a 2-2 draw with the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night.
Hyka, in his first MLS action of the season, came on in the 67th minute and first-timed a feed from Quincy Amarikwa to make it 2-2 in the 85th. Florian Jungwirth's cross from the right flank floated through the box to Amarikwa, who tapped it to Hyka for the finish — which deflected off defender Adolfo Machado.
Dynamo wins 2-1 on Sporting KC’s own goal in 77nd minute
HOUSTON (AP) — Tomas Martinez scored in the 63rd minute and his free kick in the 77th led to an own goal, helping the Houston Dynamo beat Sporting Kansas City 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Houston (12-10-10) moved within one point of a third-place tie with Portland and Seattle. Second-place Sporting KC (12-8-12) needed at least a draw to secure a playoff spot.
Only Vancouver, three points ahead of Sporting KC, has secured a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
