WASHINGTON (AP) — Tomas Satoransky got a bottled-water shower from his teammates and a postgame handshake from team president Ernie Grunfeld.
The big game for the lanky Czech point guard was cause for celebration for the Washington Wizards, who are playing cohesively with Satoransky starting in place of the injured John Wall.
Satoransky had 18 points, a career-high 12 rebounds and 10 assists in his first career triple-double, helping Washington beat the Milwaukee Bucks 113-106 on Friday night.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Just because All-Star point guard John Wall is out for the season, that doesn't mean the Washington Wizards think they're finished.
Bradley Beal had 24 points, Jeff Green added 22 and Thomas Bryant scored 16 to go with a career-high 15 rebounds as Washington beat the Atlanta Hawks 114-98 on Wednesday night.
Wall, scheduled for surgery on his left heel Jan. 8, hasn't played in any of the past three games but the Wizards have won the last two.
Wizards’ John Wall out with heel injury, will see specialist
WASHINGTON (AP) — John Wall is out for the Washington Wizards' game Friday night against Chicago due to a left heel injury, and coach Scott Brooks says the point guard will see a specialist.
Brooks would not speculate on the severity of the injury. He says Wall has managed an issue with his heel for years and "it comes and goes."
Wall is averaging 20.7 points and 8.7 assists per game. He missed a game with an injury to his heel Dec. 10.
Wizards’ Wall out vs. Phoenix due to flu-like symptoms
WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington Wizards point guard John Wall is missing Saturday night's game against the Phoenix Suns because of flu-like symptoms.
Wall was ruled out shortly before the 7 p.m. tipoff. He did not participate in Washington's morning shootaround.
Tomas Satoransky is starting in place of the five-time All Star. Forward Markieff Morris also is dealing with an illness but will play, according to coach Scott Brooks.
Wizards beat Cavs in first game in Cleveland since trades
CLEVELAND (AP) — Bradley Beal scored 18 points, Kelly Oubre Jr. added 17 and tried to untie the sneakers of one of Cleveland's new players, and the Washington Wizards withstood a late assault by LeBron James to beat the new-look Cavaliers 110-103 on Thursday night.
Wizards point guard Tomas Satoransky had a bandage above his right eyebrow and still had a minor headache Monday evening. Both were the aftereffects from Bulls forward Bobby Portis' mid-air takedown of Satoransky in the final minutes of Saturday's Wizards win in Chicago.
After Satoransky's head smacked the hardwood, he left the game and was placed in concussion protocol.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — If the Washington Wizards are missing All-Star point guard John Wall, they certainly aren't showing it.
