Rajai Davis cracks Indians’ roster for ALDS vs Astros
HOUSTON (AP) — Rajai Davis is getting the chance to further his October legacy.
Indians manager Terry Francona said Thursday the speedy outfielder will get his team's final spot on the 25-man roster for the AL Division Series against the Houston Astros.
Davis was given the nod over backup infielder Erik Gonzalez. Davis cemented his place in October baseball lore with a tying home run in Game 7 of the 2016 World Series before Cleveland lost to the Chicago Cubs in 10 innings.
Maldonado, White homer as Astros beat Mariners 10-7
SEATTLE (AP) — Martin Maldonado and Tyler White helped the Astros build an eight-run lead, and Houston's bullpen made it hold after a little scare in the sixth inning.
Maldonado and White each homered and had three hits, Roberto Osuna got his first save with Houston and the Astros beat the Seattle Mariners 10-7 on Wednesday.
The Astros led 9-1 before the Mariners got one back in the fifth and added five more in the sixth, all off starter Charlie Morton (13-3).
Keuchel, Bregman lead Astros over Tigers 3-0
HOUSTON (AP) — Dallas Keuchel is beginning to look like his old self, and that's welcome news for a Houston Astros team eyeing another title.
Keuchel pitched six strong innings, three relievers completed the seven-hitter and Alex Bregman provided the offense by setting a career high with his 20th homer to give the Astros a 3-0 win over the Detroit Tigers on Friday night.

HOUSTON (AP) — Kyle Seager and Danny Valencia hit back-to-back homers in the 10th inning to lift the Seattle Mariners to a 9-7 win over the Houston Astros on Monday night.
The wild back and forth game was tied at 7 entering the 10th when Seager, who finished with three hits, connected off Tony Sipp (0-1) on a shot to the seats in right field. Valencia added an insurance run when he launched a slider to center field three pitches later.
Rosario’s 2-run double helps Twins over Astros 4-2
HOUSTON (AP) — After being outscored 50-21 in their first four games against Houston this season, the Minnesota Twins were thrilled to finally beat the Astros on Saturday night.
And they didn't care that it came thanks to a fluke play.
Brian Dozier homered and Eddie Rosario's two-run double in the sixth inning lifted the Twins to the 4-2 victory.
Altuve, bullpen rally Astros past Mariners 10-5
SEATTLE (AP) — Jose Altuve picked a good time to start looking like Jose Altuve.
Altuve, who began the season 3 for 21, hit three singles and drew two walks, helping the Houston Astros overcome an early five-run deficit and rally past the Seattle Mariners 10-5 on Wednesday night.
