DENVER (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs were without safety Eric Berry on Monday night against the Denver Broncos, who did not have nickel cornerback Tramaine Brock for the game.

Seahawks, Broncos have lost star power in secondary
DENVER (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks' "Legion of Boom" blew up with Kam Chancellor's neck injury and Richard Sherman's exit. The Denver Broncos' "No Fly Zone" was grounded by Aqib Talib's trade and T.J. Ward's departure.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Now that charges have been dismissed in his legal case, new Seattle Seahawks cornerback Tramaine Brock must wait to see if the NFL will hand down any discipline.

SANTA CLARA -- Jimmie Ward's versatility and playmaking ability should make him an every-down defender this season for the youth-laden 49ers. One play reinforced that notion Tuesday.
Ward, the 49ers' top draft pick in 2014, intercepted a pass by Blaine Gabbert and returned it for a would-be touchdown at training camp.
