Konecny scored his second goal of the game 1:27 into overtime and Philadelphia bounced back from squandering a big lead to beat the Detroit Red Wings 6-5 on Saturday.
"It feels good to get that one, especially when you have the thought of maybe losing a game that you should have," Konecny said.
Hart, Couturier lead Flyers over slumping Ducks 6-2
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Carter Hart's approach to making big saves is simple and effective.
Hart stopped 30 shots for his eighth straight victory, Sean Couturier had a goal and two assists and the Philadelphia Flyers scored four times in the first period to rout the slumping Anaheim Ducks 6-2 on Saturday.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Sam Reinhart poked in a rebound with 4:14 left, and the Buffalo Sabres beat the New York Islanders 4-3 on Thursday night after squandering a three-goal lead.
Jack Eichel and Evan Rodrigues each had a goal and an assist for Buffalo, and Ryan O'Reilly also scored. Robin Lehner stopped 26 shots to help Buffalo salvage the finale of a five-game homestand after going 0-3-1 in its previous four games.

Capitals rally past Flyers 5-3
WASHINGTON (AP) — Chandler Stephenson, Andre Burakovsky and T.J. Oshie ended lengthy goal droughts to help the Washington Capitals rally past the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3 on Wednesday night.
Stephenson scored twice after going without a goal for 28 games. Burakovsky scored on the power play after coming up empty for 10 games, and Oshie lifted his arms and looked to the sky when he scored on the power play to end his 13-game dry spell.

DETROIT (AP) — Travis Konecny gracefully got his skates to the blue line, carried the puck into the middle of the right circle and sent a wrist shot to the back of the net.
Konecny's goal 27 seconds into overtime lifting the Philadelphia Flyers to a 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night.
"It was 100-percent onside," Detroit coach Jeff Blashill said. "Konecny made a heck of a play to stay onside and the linesman made a heck of a call."
Detroit — One step forward, one step back for the Red Wings.
They just can't get any traction, although they did earn a point.
After an impressive victory in New Jersey 24 hours earlier, the Red Wings couldn't match it Tuesday at home, losing 3-2 in overtime to the Philadelphia Flyers.
