Flowers, Fluker inactive for Seahawks against Bears
CHICAGO (AP) — Seattle Seahawks cornerback Tre Flowers and guard D.J. Fluker are inactive for Monday's game against the Chicago Bears.
Both players were listed as doubtful. Flowers, a rookie, started the opener after Dontae Johnson was placed on injured reserve last week.
With linebackers K.J. Wright (knee) and Bobby Wagner (groin) and top receiver Doug Baldwin (knee) injured, the Seahawks are missing five starters. Backup Delano Hill and guard Jordan Simmons are also out.
Seahawks’ Earl Thomas activated; Dontae Johnson on IR
RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks have activated safety Earl Thomas to the 53-man roster, making him eligible to play in Sunday's opener against Denver.
Cornerback Dontae Johnson was placed on injured reserve Saturday after hurting his groin during practice this week. Johnson was expected to start at right cornerback, but rookie Tre Flowers, a converted safety, might now do so. Veteran Neiko Thorpe is another option.
RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks continued to lock up their 2018 draft class by signing linebacker Shaquem Griffin and cornerback Tre Flowers to rookie contracts Thursday.
Third-round pick Rasheem Green is now Seattle's lone unsigned draft pick. Griffin and Flowers were both selected in the fifth round.
OSU football spring preview: Replacing all-time great playmakers, a new defense and more to watch
STILLWATER — At 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oklahoma State football without Mason Rudolph and James Washington begins.
And without Marcell Ateman. And Tre Flowers. And Chad Whitener.
This spring marks a transition from an era of OSU football that produced three consecutive 10-win seasons for the first time in school history. For Mike Gundy and the coaching staff, it’s the first spring in which Oklahoma State faces quarterback uncertainty since 2014.
OSU football: Tre Flowers runs solid 40 time while Mason Rudolph’s arm questioned
Of five the Oklahoma State players who participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, safety Tre Flowers ran the fastest 40-yard dash.
His official 4.45 time on Monday was the best of the Cowboys and fifth among defensive backs at the event.
"That's a good time for Tre Flowers," said NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock on Monday. "The safeties are running better than the corners."
OSU football: Cowboys place six on All-Big 12 first-team as league honors were announced
Nearly two dozen Oklahoma State players were named to the All-Big 12 team on Thursday.

Expect big offense with No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 22 WVU
No. 11 Oklahoma State (6-1, 3-1 Big 12) at West Virginia (5-2, 3-1), Saturday, Noon ET (ABC)
Line: Oklahoma State by 7.5.
Series record: Tied 4-4.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
Oklahoma State and West Virginia bring two of the nation's top scoring and passing offenses. They are tied with No. 10 Oklahoma and No. 25 Iowa State for second place in the Big 12 behind No. 4 TCU, and a loss would put a crimp in one team's hopes of reaching the conference championship game.
Oklahoma State’s special teams crucial in win over Texas
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Often an overlooked aspect of the game, specials teams played a key role in Oklahoma State's latest win.
The Cowboys blocked three PAT attempts, with Vincent Taylor and Tre Flowers teaming up to return one of them for two points and shifting the momentum in their favor on the way to a 49-31 victory over Texas on Saturday.
