Bills quarterback Derek Anderson questionable for Bears
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills quarterback Derek Anderson is questionable for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears after missing practice all week because of to a concussion.
If Anderson cannot play, Nathan Peterman will start.
Middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds is also questionable and not expected to play. He, too, missed practice this week because of a concussion.
Bills’ LeSean McCoy listed as questionable versus Patriots
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable for Monday night's game against the New England Patriots.
McCoy has not been cleared to play yet despite practicing on a limited basis the past three days, as he's allowed under NFL concussion protocol rules. He was hurt when he landed on his head while being tackled along the sideline on Buffalo's second play from scrimmage in a 37-5 loss at Indianapolis last weekend.
Bills rule out Shaq Lawson, Taron Johnson against Chargers
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson and rookie cornerback Taron Johnson have been ruled out of Buffalo's home opener against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Lawson is out due to a hamstring injury, while Johnson will not play after hurting his shoulder in a 47-3 season-opening loss at Baltimore last weekend.
Kyle Williams, Trent Murphy ready to play in Bills’ opener
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams and defensive end Trent Murphy are cleared to play in Buffalo's season opener at Baltimore on Sunday after both missed extensive time with injuries.
Neither was listed on the team's final injury report Friday, and coach Sean McDermott says both have had a good week of practice. Williams missed two weeks after hurting his right knee against Cleveland. Murphy missed a majority of training camp with a groin injury.
Murphy eager for opportunity to restart career with Bills
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Trent Murphy feels particularly sympathetic toward the Buffalo Bills' training staff.
The defensive end can't imagine how difficult it must have been on them to keep him from rushing onto the field the past six months while Murphy recuperated from a knee injury he sustained a year ago, and a strained groin he developed during training camp.
"We've had a lot of guys with reins on me," Murphy said Thursday.

The Washington Redskins agreed to a deal with outside linebacker Pernell McPhee, the team announced Monday.
McPhee will give the Redskins a rotational pass rusher, a position the team needed to fill after Trent Murphy signed with the Buffalo Bills. The Redskins, per reports, also don't plan to bring back outside linebacker Junior Galette.

The Washington Redskins have re-signed leading tackler Zach Brown to a three-year contract worth a maximum of $24 million, according to reports.
Brown, an inside linebacker, played 2017 on a one-year contract worth just $2.3 million in his first year in Washington. He started his NFL career with four seasons in Tennessee and one in Buffalo.

The people spoke on the condition of anonymity on Wednesday because the deal was reached before the NFL's business year opened later in the day.

The league announced the suspension Friday. Murphy is suspended without pay for the first four regular-season games, but he can participate in offseason workouts and preseason games.
