RENO, Nevada (AP) — Nevada honored its seniors in the Wolf Pack's final regular-season game — and the upperclassmen delivered an impressive victory.
No. 7 Nevada wins 10th straight behind Porter’s 14 points
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Nevada relived last season's double-overtime loss at Wyoming by watching video of fans storming the floor every day for the past week, and even just before taking the court Saturday night.
There were no fans storming the floor this time, as No. 7 Nevada easily beat Wyoming 82-49 for its 10th straight win.
Trey Porter led the way with 14 points, and Jordan Caroline and Caleb Martin each scored 13.
No. 6 Nevada avenges only loss, defeats New Mexico 91-62
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Coach Eric Musselman posted the score of Nevada's 27-point loss to New Mexico on the homecourt scoreboard at the team's next practice.
Forward Trey Porter said Musselman's goal was simple.
"(So we knew) that we got smacked," Porter said. "That's one of the worst losses that I've had in my career."
On Saturday, Porter had 20 points and nine rebounds as No. 6 Nevada avenged its only loss of the season in a dominating 91-62 win over New Mexico.
No. 7 Nevada romps to 100-60 win over Colorado State
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Nevada coach Eric Musselman threatened to turn off the 3-point green light after a lackluster shooting performance Saturday by the seventh-ranked Wolf Pack against Air Force.
Musselman sang a different tune following his team's 100-60 win Wednesday night over Colorado State.
"I kind of wanted to get under their skin a little bit," Musselman said. "They were having a good time tonight when they started knocking them down. They were pointing at me and laughing."
Martin’s 3 lifts No. 10 Nevada over Boise State 72-71
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Nevada's Cody Martin hadn't hit a 3-pointer in a month, but that didn't stop him from taking a huge shot when his team needed it.
Martin, last season's Mountain West defensive player of the year, hit a contested 3-pointer with 4.5 seconds remaining to lift No. 10 Nevada over Boise State 72-71 on Tuesday night.
No. 10 Nevada crushes SJSU, 92-53
RENO, Nev. (AP) — The floodgates opened again for No. 10 Nevada on Wednesday night.
After its first loss of the season Saturday, 85-58 at New Mexico, the Wolf Pack returned to form in its 92-53 win against San Jose State.
No. 6 Nevada spears Cal Baptist Lancers, 90-55
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Trey Porter thinks his adrenaline got the best of him during the first three games of the season.
"I'm a diabetic, so I got my blood sugar up a little bit," said Porter, who transferred to Nevada this season from Old Dominion. "It makes me kind of cranky. ... I was able to control my blood sugar (tonight). It definitely helped me out."
FRISCO, Texas (AP) — B.J. Stith scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Trey Porter added 18 points, including a go-ahead dunk late, and Old Dominion beat Louisiana Tech 62-58 in Thursday night's Conference USA Tournament quarterfinal.

Old Dominion thumps UTEP 82-33, sets school record
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Randy Haynes had 24 points and Ahmad Caver added 18 as Old Dominion set a school record for fewest points allowed in a game as the Monarchs thrashed UTEP 82-33 on Saturday night.
The lowest point total by an opponent before the Miners walked into the gym was 34 by Northeastern on January 5, 2011.
UTEP was never really in the game as the Monarchs jumped out to a 12-2 lead, pushed that 21-7 and ended the first half holding a 32-14 advantage.
Old Dominion cruises in 82-69 win over Louisiana Tech
RUSTON, La. (AP) — Ahmad Caver had 17 points, 10 assists and six steals as Old Dominion rolled to an 82-69 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night.
Old Dominion (19-5, 10-2 Conference USA) has won six of its last eight games. The Monarchs remain tied for second place in the conference standings with Western Kentucky, which beat Florida International. Louisiana Tech (15-11, 6-7) has lost two of its last three.
Old Dominion tops UAB 65-60 behind Haynes’ 16 points

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Antwain Johnson scored 18 points, Nick King added 17 with 11 rebounds, and Middle Tennessee used a late run to beat Old Dominion 66-59 on Thursday night to remain in first place in Conference USA.
Giddy Potts scored 12 points for the Blue Raiders (17-5, 9-1), who hold a 1½ game lead on the Monarchs (16-5, 7-2) and a half-game lead and tie-breaker over Western Kentucky.

Old Dominion holds off Marshall for 82-76 win
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Trey Porter scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Brandan Stith had 14 points with 14 boards, and Old Dominion held off a Marshall rally in the second half for an 82-76 win Saturday night.
Leading by as many as 22 after the break, Old Dominion (13-4, 4-1 Conference USA) had to scramble as Marshall steadily chipped away at the deficit, cutting the gap to 76-74 with 35 seconds to go on three free throws by Jon Elmore. But that was close as the Thundering Herd got.

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Ahmad Caver scored 22 points on 8-for-13 shooting to propel Old Dominion past Charlotte for an 89-58 win in a Conference USA opener Saturday night.
Trey Porter, B.J. Stith and Randy Haynes added 16 points apiece for Old Dominion, which shot 53 percent to pick up its fifth-straight win. The Monarchs (10-3) held Charlotte to just 16 points in the first half and forced 22 turnovers.
Stith helps Old Dominion hold off Norfolk State, 61-50
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — B.J. Stith scored 17 points and Old Dominon won its fourth straight, beating Norfolk State for the seventh time in the last eight meetings between the teams, posting a 61-50 victory Friday night.
Stith dunked with :41 seconds left in the first half to send the Monarchs into intermission with a 23-22 lead.
Trey Porter gave Old Dominion the lead for good with a pair of free throws with 7:12 left in the game to spark an 8-0 run to extend the lead.
B.J. Stith’s 21 points, 10 boards lead Old Dominion in win
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — B.J. Stith had 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, Ahmad Caver added 14 points, six boards and 12 assists, and Old Dominion beat Richmond 79-60 on Wednesday night.
Richmond led 33-31 at halftime but Old Dominion opened the second half on a 20-0 run — with six points from Caver and capped by Brandan Stith's 3-point play. The Monarchs outscored Richmond 48-27 in the second half.
Old Dominion dominates Maryland Eastern-Shore 83-44
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — B.J. Stith had 14 points on Monday night and Old Dominion dominated Maryland-Eastern Shore 83-44.
Michael Hueitt Jr. added 12 points, Xavier Green scored 11 and Trey Porter 10 for the Monarchs (5-2), who built a 37-14 lead by halftime and extended it with an 18-0 run in the second.
Miryne Thomas led the Hawks (2-5) with 15 points and eight rebounds. Tyler Jones scored eight.
