Skins put Dunbar, Quinn, Cooper on IR, sign QB Josh Johnson
ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — The injuries keep mounting for the Washington Redskins, who put three more players on injured reserve Wednesday to raise their season total to 17: starting cornerback Quinton Dunbar, receiver Trey Quinn and guard Jonathan Cooper.
In other moves, the Redskins (6-6) signed Josh Johnson to be their backup quarterback against the visiting New York Giants (4-8) on Sunday and added guard Zac Kerin, center Demetrius Rhaney and defensive end Marcus Smith as free agents.
Redskins lineman Williams hospitalized after Dallas game
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Washington left tackle Trent Williams was taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons after getting hit in the chest but just missing one play in the Redskins' loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Williams stayed on the ground along the sideline at the end of an 8-yard run by Kapri Bibbs in the third quarter of the Cowboys' 31-23 victory Thursday.
McCoy, back home, loses in 1st start for Redskins since ’14

Redskins re-sign WR Brian Quick amid flurry of moves
ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — The Washington Redskins have re-signed wide receiver Brian Quick.
The team announced the signing Tuesday in a flurry of roster moves that included putting rookie receiver Cam Sims on injured reserve. Quick spent last season with Washington and was released Sept. 1.

"Mr. Irrelevant" 2018 is SMU receiver Trey Quinn.
Quinn was the final player selected in the three-day NFL draft, No. 256 overall by the Washington Redskins.
After playing his first two seasons at LSU, the 6-foot, 202-pound Quinn transferred to SMU where he had to sit out a season.

SMU tops Tulsa, becomes bowl eligible for 1st time since ’12
DALLAS (AP) — Ben Hicks threw for 338 yards and two touchdowns, and SMU became bowl eligible for the first time since 2012 with a 38-34 victory over Tulsa on Friday night.
Tulsa went for it on fourth-and-8 from its own 35 with less than three minutes remaining in the game, but Demerick Gary sacked Luke Skipper and SMU ran out the clock after getting a first down on Trey Quinn's 13-yard catch.

SMU has completed 94 passes over the last three games. Trey Quinn has been on the receiving end of 49.
The transfer from LSU tied his career high with 17 catches against Cincinnati on Saturday, including an incredible fourth-and-26 conversion on a 28-yard pass from Ben Hicks to keep the Mustangs alive in overtime in a 31-28 win.

DALLAS (AP) — Ben Hicks passed for 280 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday and SMU pulled away with three fourth-quarter touchdowns to beat Connecticut 49-28.
