No selfishness in running backs room
For the first time in a decade, Oklahoma has three running backs with at least 400 rushing yards -- and the season is only eight games old.
Trey Sermon (487 yards), Abdul Adams (467) and Rodney Anderson (410) lead the Sooners’ ground game. All have been the team’s leading rusher in multiple games (Sermon and Adams three times, Anderson twice).
When Sermon didn’t get a carry against Texas Tech on Saturday night, it didn’t go unnoticed by Sooner Nation.

Key matchup: When Kansas State runs…
The Wildcats are at their best when they’re running the football. With both Jesse Ertz and Alex Delton, K-State likes to employ the quarterback run game, so the Sooners will be challenged to get off blocks and finish tackles.

Oklahoma RBs Adams, Sermon fill void for NFL departees
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — They aren't quite Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon, but Oklahoma running backs Abdul Adams and Trey Sermon are getting the job done for the third-ranked Sooners.
OU football: Is Trey Sermon the next Samaje Perine? It’s unfair to compare, but early similarities are uncanny
NORMAN – Making a Trey Sermon-Samaje Perine comparison is much too early and, perhaps, unfair to Oklahoma’s freshman running back.
But after watching Sermon’s fourth-quarter heroics in the Sooners’ 49-41 triumph at Baylor, it allows room for OU fans to think back to the school’s all-time career rushing leader’s start.
