HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Moses Greenwood had 25 points and 10 rebounds for his ninth double-double of the season, helping Southeastern Louisiana beat Incarnate Word 70-64 on Wednesday night.
Greenwood was 12 of 16 from the field to move past Troy Green for seventh all-time in SLU scoring. He is just five points shy of passing Brandon Fortenberry for sixth.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Troy Green scored 15 points off the bench with four assists and four steals and New Orleans clawed out of a 13-point hole and hung on at the end to defeat Stephen F. Austin 68-61 Wednesday night, pushing its win streak to four games.

WESTWEGO, La. (AP) — Gerrale Gates scored 17 points, Jorge Rosa added 14 points with four 3-pointers, and New Orleans never trailed in beating NAIA-member Williams Baptist 90-62 on Tuesday night.

New Orleans rolls past Governors State 97-53
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Ezekiel Charles scored 20 points and Damion Rosser 18 as New Orleans used a huge second half to beat Governors State 97-53 on Saturday.
Charles had six points and Scott Plaisance, Troy Green and Rosser five each in a 25-1 over a 5½-minute stretch to put New Orleans comfortably ahead 86-49.
Charles was 8-of-10 shooting with three 3-pointers and a game-high seven rebounds while Rosser was also 8 of 10. Plaisance added 14 points and Amari Haynes 13.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Joshua Filmore scored 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting and Southeastern Louisiana held off New Orleans 68-64 Wednesday night to set up a Saturday showdown with Southland Conference leader Nicholls.
The Lions (20-10, 14-3) can claim the regular season title against the Colonels (15-2), which beat Northwestern State 73-70 on Wednesday. Southeastern Louisiana — winners of seven straight — beat Nicholls, 67-63, in Thibodaux, Louisiana, on Jan. 27.
Powell leads way on both ends as Nicholls tops New Orleans
THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — Jahvaughn Powell scored 22 points and Tevon Saddler scored 19 to lead Nicholls past New Orleans 78-64 on Saturday night for its seventh consecutive win.
The Colonels (20-9, 14-2 Southland) have won 12 of their last 13 and are having their best run in the Southland since 1998.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — John Dewey III scored 16 points and Josh Boutte had 12 as Sam Houston State held off New Orleans for a 57-54 victory on Wednesday night.
Sam Houston State (18-11, 12-4 Southland Conference) is now in fourth place in the conference standings behind Stephen F. Austin and Southeastern Louisiana, both 12-3, and Nicholls (13-2). New Orleans (14-13, 11-5) drops to fifth.

SE Louisiana uses big first half, beats New Orleans 71-64
HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Jordan Capps scored 12 of his 18 points in the first half as Southeastern Louisiana built a 23-point halftime advantage and cruised to a 71-64 victory over New Orleans on Wednesday night.
Southeastern Louisiana (17-10, 11-3 Southland Conference) has won five of its last six games, and has 17 wins for the first time since the 2009-10 season. New Orleans (13-12, 10-4) has lost two of its last three since having its four-game win streak snapped.

Puou jumper spurs New Orleans over Incarnate Word 68-58
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Makur Puou scored 18 points on 8-for-9 shooting and helped spark a late run and New Orleans pulled away from Incarnate Word in the final minutes for a 68-58 win on Saturday, remaining poised to claim a share of the lead in the Southland Conference.
New Orleans (11-10, 8-2) entered Saturday a half-game behind Nicholls State (13-8, 7-1) which was playing third place Southeast Louisiana later Saturday.
New Orleans rallies to beat Abilene Christian 77-74
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Travin Thibodeaux made two free throws and Makur Puou slammed home a dunk in the final seconds as New Orleans came back to beat Abilene Christian 77-74 in the Southland Conference opener on Thursday night.
Abilene Christian's Tevin Foster nailed a 3-point jumper and followed with two free throws to give the Wildcats a 74-73 lead with 26 seconds remaining. Thibodeaux, who finished with 20 points and eight rebounds, sank two free throws for a 75-74 lead.
New Orleans downs Williams Baptist 87-70
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Damion Rosser scored a season-high 19 points, Troy Green added 11 points with six assists, and New Orleans beat NAIA Williams Baptist 87-70 on Saturday.
Lamont Berzat scored 11 with four assists, Makur Puou had 10 points with nine rebounds, and Dionta Champion had a career-high 10 boards and three steals for the Privateers (2-5). New Orleans shot 54 percent from the field while holding the Eagles to 40.9 percent. Travin Thibodeaux blocked a career-high five shots.
Gray leads Houston to 75-66 win over New Orleans
HOUSTON (AP) — Rob Gray scored 23 points and Houston went 8 for 8 from the foul line in the final 28 seconds to hold off New Orleans 75-66 on Wednesday night.
New Orleans made its four 3-pointers and shot 54 percent in the second half but the Cougars never faltered. After the Privateers closed within five with 2:17 to play, Armoni Brooks knocked down a 3-pointer and Gray followed with a layup for a 10-point lead at 1:13.
Sikes trey lifts South Alabama past New Orleans, 55-52
MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Rodrick Sikes hit a 3-point jumper with 20 seconds left to give South Alabama a 55-52 win over New Orleans for the 11th straight time Sunday afternoon.
Sikes hit a trey to give the Jaguars a 51-50 lead with 2:02 left, but Bryson Robinson dunked with :56 left to put the Privateers in front, 52-51.
The Jaguars' Herb McGee missed a field goal from deep and Josh Ajayi missed a put-back attempt. New Orleans' Troy Green missed a free throw that would have padded the lead.
New Orleans beats Division III Spring Hill 74-67
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Travin Thibodeaux scored 13 points and had five assists to lead New Orleans to a 74-67 victory over Division III Spring Hill on Friday.
Thibodeaux made just 3 of 10 field goals but was 7-of-9 shooting from the line. Michael Zeno added 12 points for New Orleans (1-3). Makur Puou chipped in 11 points.
Brandon Fischer scored 17 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds to lead Spring Hill. Dwight Harris had 13 points and Andrew Dotson finished with 12.
