ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Troy Simons swished all six of his foul shots in overtime and Anthony Mathis 23 points to lead New Mexico to a 95-86 win Saturday over Fresno State.
The only shot Mathis, who sank five 3-pointers, missed came at the buzzer of regulation.
Jahmel Taylor, who had 23 points, fueled a frenetic Bulldogs comeback, hitting four 3s in the final 4:24, including the shot that forced overtime with 18.1 seconds left.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Joe Furstinger scored 22 points and led seven New Mexico players in double-digit scoring and the Lobos throttled faltering Colorado state 108-87 on Wednesday and topped the century mark for the sixth time this season.

Utah State downs New Mexico 89-80 on McEwen’s career night
LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Koby McEwen set career highs with 31 points and 13 rebounds, Sam Merrill added 18 points, and Utah State held off New Mexico 89-80 on Wednesday night to win its third straight.
Dwayne Brown Jr. and Quinn Taylor scored 15 points apiece and the Aggies (13-11, 6-5 Mountain West Conference) shot 56.4 percent from the floor. McEwen had a career-high six of Utah State's 13 3-pointers.
Jackson leads balanced New Mexico past Colorado State 80-65
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Antino Jackson had his first double-double for New Mexico, leading four teammates in double figures and helping the Lobos beat Colorado State 80-65 on Saturday night.
Jackson had 12 points and 11 assists, while Anthony Mathis, Joe Furstinger and Troy Simons each had 13 points for New Mexico (11-11, 6-3 Mountain West), which won its third straight game.
Shallow bench no obstacle in Lobos’ domination of San Jose State
ALBUQUERQUE — The closer Mike Mondragon sits to the scoring table’s side of the bench, the worse things are for The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team.
Mondragon is a walk-on and, as a matter of principle, walk-ons sit closer to the locker room than the part where the coach turns to when looking for subs.
Mountain West suspends New Mexico guard Troy Simons
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico guard Troy Simons was suspended for one game by the Mountain West Conference for an accumulation of violations.
Simons, a junior, has been ejected twice this season. He received two technical fouls in New Mexico's game against rival New Mexico State on Nov. 17 and again in Wednesday's loss to Boise State.
Furstinger double-double lifts New Mexico over Rice 79-69
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — After four years, Joe Furstinger nabbed his first double-double, leading New Mexico to a 78-69 victory Saturday over Rice.
Coming off the bench for the first time this season, his 17 points and 12 rebounds were both career highs, while Troy Simons and Sam Logwood each added 15 as the Lobos (4-8) ended a four-game skid.
Lofton scores 22 as New Mexico State beats New Mexico 65-62
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Zach Lofton scored 22 points for New Mexico State and two potential tying shots hit rim and bounced away in the closing five seconds for New Mexico as the Aggies came away with a 65-62 win Saturday night.
"It wasn't a pretty game," New Mexico State coach Chris Jans said. "It was a toughness win. And hopefully next time we're in that situation, we'll be talking about this game."
A.J. Harris added 12 points for New Mexico State (7-2).
New Mexico has 5 score in double figures, beats Evansville
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Sam Logwood and Troy Simons scored 14 points apiece, leading five New Mexico players in double figures Wednesday night as the Lobos beat Evansville 78-59.
K.J. Riley led the Purples Aces (5-2) with 13.
New Mexico (3-4) gained control early in the game, reeling off an 11-0 run over an eight-minute span, during which the Aces went 0-for-9 from the field.
Simons heats up from 3, New Mexico romps past Omaha, 103-71
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Troy Simons came off the bench to score 24 points, including 10 during a decisive second-half run Tuesday to help New Mexico beat a pesky Omaha squad 103-71.
Antino Jackson added 19 points, including five 3-pointers, for the Lobos (2-0) and Sam Logwood chipped in 18 points.
Simons hit five of those, including two in the midst of a 29-4 surge that sent New Mexico to a 92-61 lead.
McNeal leads New Mexico to lopsided victory
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — With 24 points and 10 assists, New Mexico's Chris McNeal led eight Lobos in double figures in a record-breaking 147-76 win over Northern New Mexico on Saturday night.
The Lobos (1-0) set school records for scoring - blowing by the old mark with 3:58 remaining the game on McNeal's fast-break layup - and steals (22), while tying an assists record (40).
