DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — NASCAR has ejected the car chiefs for Chase Elliott, Ty Dillon and Austin Dillon through the Daytona 500 for repeated inspection failures before qualifying for the race.
The drivers also were docked 15 minutes from the final Cup practice before next Sunday's race. NASCAR has cracked down this season on inspection failures and will disqualify race-winning cars that break the rules.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — The Latest on the NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway (all times local):
Erik Jones has won a crash-filled NASCAR race at Daytona International Speedway, passing defending series champion Martin Truex Jr. on the final lap and then crossing the finish line for the first victory of his Cup Series career.
Jones was involved in one of the many wrecks, but his No. 20 Toyota was still in good enough shape to get by Truex.
TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) — Jamie McMurray rolled his car at least seven times at Talladega Superspeedway.
McMurray's left rear tire appeared to fail in a practice session Friday and it began a four-car accident.
McMurray's No. 1 Chevrolet spun horizontally along the track and was broadsided by Newman, flipping and hitting the safety barrier before landing on the passenger side.
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Kyle Larson took the lead with only a handful of laps to go when race leader Ty Dillon jumped a restart and won the NASCAR Xfinity race in overtime at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday.
Larson won after barely making it to the overtime line in a two-lap dash to the finish. The line marks the spot the race leader must have crossed for the race to be deemed official, and just after Larson crossed it, a crash behind him brought out a yellow flag.
Ty Dillon to drive for Germain Racing in 2017
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Ty Dillon will race full time in NASCAR's top series next year for Germain Racing.
Germain Racing announced Monday that Dillon will replace Casey Mears in the No. 13 Chevrolet. Mears had driven the car since the second half of the 2010 season.
Dillon has made 18 Cup starts over the last three years. Robert "Bootie" Barker will return as the team's crew chief in 2017, and GEICO will be back as the primary sponsor.
Logano snatches win away from Larson in Xfinity Series
CONCORD, N.C. (AP) — Joey Logano turned what could have been an awful 800 miles of racing into two small victories, one that earned him a trophy, the other a breather in the championship standings.
A tire problem in the Hurricane Matthew-postponed opening race of the second round of the Chase cut Logano's day short by 120 miles. His 36th-place finish in the Sprint Cup race on Sunday would have been horrific for his championship chances if not for problems to nearly half the title-contenders.

JOLIET, Ill. (AP) — NASCAR driver Regan Smith has welcomed his second child after skipping this weekend's race in order to be with his wife as she went into labor.
Ty Dillon to replace Regan Smith in Chicagoland race
JOLIET, Ill. (AP) — Ty Dillon will replace Regan Smith in the No. 7 Chevrolet for the Sprint Cup race at Chicagoland Speedway as Smith remains in North Carolina awaiting the birth of his child.
Smith left the track Friday to be with his wife, Megan, who had gone into labor with the couple's second child. Dillon drove the car in practice Friday and Saturday. Qualifying was canceled because of rain, which left Smith in the 33rd starting spot.

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (AP) — Joey Logano has won his second straight the pole for the Xfinity race at Watkins Glen International.

Erik Jones wins NASCAR Xfinity race at Iowa
NEWTON, Iowa (AP) — Rookie Erik Jones has made winning look easy in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Jones' success is even more remarkable given that he's had to race without his father, who died of cancer just a month ago.
Jones retook the lead from Ty Dillon with 16 laps to go and won Saturday night at Iowa Speedway for his third victory of the season.
Jones led a race-high 154 of 250 laps, but it took a late inside move for Jones to overcome Dillon for his...
Xfinity drivers eye Chase spots with Iowa win
NEWTON, Iowa (AP) — Erik Jones, Daniel Suarez and Elliott Sadler are guaranteed spots in the NASCAR Xfinity Chase — as long as they start each of next nine races.
The rest of the series contenders need at least one win to ensure a playoff berth, which is why Saturday's stand-alone race in Iowa is so big for all of them.
Brad Keselowski is the only Sprint Cup regular in the field, so there might not be a better chance for a winless driver to grab a victory that...
