ST. LOUIS (AP) — Oskar Sundqvist was concerned about more than just hockey after he sustained serious facial injuries on an illegal hit by Tom Wilson in a preseason game against the Washington Capitals on Sept. 30.
Sundqvist made a statement in his third game since getting back in the lineup by scoring two rare goals to lead the St. Louis Blues past the Vegas Golden Knights 5-3 on Thursday night.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Vladimir Tarasenko asserted that the St. Louis Blues were a better team than the one that had dropped seven of its first nine games following a 7-4 loss Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets
Tarasenko followed up Saturday night by scoring two goals, and Ryan O'Reilly and Zach Sanford each had three points as the Blues beat the Chicago Blackhawks 7-3 to snap a two-game skid.
"This is really emotional for us," Tarasenko said. "Everyone understands how important this game was."
Street, Cogliano score in 3rd period, Ducks beat Blues 3-2
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Andrew Cogliano was in the right place at the right time for the Anaheim Ducks.
Ben Street and Cogliano scored third-period goals, Ryan Miller made 29 saves, and the Ducks rallied to beat the St. Louis Blues 3-2 on Sunday night.
Jakob Silfverberg also scored for the Ducks, who won for the third straight time at Enterprise Center and matched a franchise-best winning streak at St. Louis from Dec. 21, 2005, to March 31. 2007.

Fabbri missed all of last season after re-tearing the ACL in his left knee. He originally tore the ligament Feb. 4, 2017, causing him to miss a sizeable part of the 2016-17 season.
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Still stung by the Blues missing the playoffs for the first time in six seasons, general manager Doug Armstrong capped a major roster overhaul on the first day of the NHL's free-agency period by acquiring center Ryan O'Reilly in a multiplayer trade with the Buffalo Sabres.
