McCarron rallies after poor start, Bills beat Bears 28-27
CHICAGO (AP) — AJ McCarron made a shaky case for a roster spot, leading a surge in the fourth quarter after struggling for most of the game, and the Buffalo Bills closed the preseason with a 28-27 victory over the Chicago Bears on Thursday night.

Ravens and Bears show off D, Baltimore wins 17-16
CANTON, Ohio (AP) — The goals were to let the backups play and learn, and to be inspired.
The Ravens and Bears honored their great linebackers Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher with some defense to make them proud in the Hall of Fame game that opened the NFL's preseason Thursday night. Baltimore held on 17-16.
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears might look for a backup quarterback for Mitchell Trubisky as well as more help on defense on the final day of the draft.
The Bears turned their attention back to the offense Friday after grabbing Georgia standout linebacker Roquan Smith with the No. 8 overall pick. Iowa center James Daniels with the 39th pick and Memphis receiver Anthony Miller at No. 51 after trading back into the second round with New England.
The NFL's increasing infatuation with quarterbacks could manifest itself more this year than ever before. At this point, it looks like quarterbacks could be taken with the first three picks, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see five taken in the first 20 selections. That’s a good thing for the Bears at No. 8 because they believe they already have their franchise passer. An early run on quarterbacks means the Bears will have more elite players to choose from at other positions.
Bears agree to 1-year deals with O’Donnell, Brown, Bray
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears have agreed to one-year contracts with punter Pat O'Donnell, tight end Daniel Brown and quarterback Tyler Bray.

Chiefs cut Murray, Hogan while trading 2 to reach NFL limit
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Chiefs have gone from the talent-bereft team acquiring everybody's cast-offs just a few years ago to the team that is now sending its own fringe players away for draft picks.
