Antonio Hull, C.J. Coldon look to step in at UW corners
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Trying to find a weakness on Wyoming's defense might be a fool's errand. The Cowboys led the nation in takeaways last season and led the Mountain West in yards per play, points per game and opposing touchdowns allowed.
But if you had to pick, cornerback might be the spot you'd settle on. None of the Cowboys' starting corners from last season are listed at that position this year, as Rico Gafford and Robert Priester graduated and Tyler Hall moved to nickel back.

So while Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl spoke last fall about the physical potential of cornerback C.J. Coldon, the biggest proof that the Cowboys' coaching staff is confident in its group of young cornerbacks came this spring.

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — It comes as no surprise that Tyler Hall is filling in for a graduated starter on Wyoming's defense this spring. Last year, Hall was essentially a starter himself, playing in Wyoming's rotation of three cornerbacks, two of which were seniors.
But cornerback is not where Hall is spending his spring. Instead, the Cowboys have shifted him to nickel back, where senior Jalen Ortiz started in 2017.
