St. Francis Brooklyn beats Central Connecticut 90-79
BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. (AP) — Glenn Sanabria had a season-high 25 points as St. Francis Brooklyn defeated Central Connecticut 90-79 on Saturday. Rosel Hurley added 20 points for the Terriers.
Jalen Jordan had 13 points for St. Francis (16-11, 8-6 Northeast Conference). Deniz Celen added 12 points and seven rebounds.
St. Francis put up 58 points in the second half, a season high for the team.
Saunders leads Wagner past Central Connecticut 63-57
NEW YORK (AP) — Romone Saunders posted 18 points and nine rebounds as Wagner got past Central Connecticut 63-57 on Thursday night.
AJ Sumbry had 11 points and three blocks for Wagner (12-12, 7-6 Northeast Conference). Chase Freeman added 10 points. Devin Liggeons had six rebounds for the hosts.
Jamir Coleman had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Blue Devils (11-15, 5-8). Tyler Kohl added 18 points. Deion Bute had three blocks.
Kohl lifts Central Connecticut over Robert Morris 77-68
MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) — Tyler Kohl had 23 points as Central Connecticut beat Robert Morris 77-68 on Saturday.
Kohl also had seven turnovers but only five assists.
Joe Hugley had 15 points and seven rebounds for Central Connecticut (11-14, 5-7 Northeast Conference). Ian Krishnan added 14 points. Deion Bute had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the visiting team.
Malik Petteway had 16 points and seven rebounds for the Colonials (13-12, 8-4). Josh Williams added 12 points. Dante Treacy had 10 points.
Braxton has 19, St. Francis (PA) drops C Connecticut 90-85
LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Keith Braxton scored 19 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and had eight assists and Saint Francis (PA) won its fourth-straight game 90-85 over Central Connecticut State on Thursday night.
Isaiah Blackmon also had 19 points and Jamaal King 14 with eight assists for the Red Flash (11-11, 7-4 Northeast Athletic Conference), who had five players in double figures and eight with at least eight points.
Kohl leads CCSU’s late run in 64-59 win over Bryant
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Tyler Kohl had 23 points, 13 rebounds and four assists, and Central Connecticut closed on a 21-3 run to beat Bryant 64-59 on Saturday.
Byron Hawkins' 3-pointer gave the Bulldogs a 56-43 lead with 8:19 remaining. Kohl's layup pulled the Blue Devils to 57-56 with 1:36 remaining, and he then shot 6 of 8 from the line to help seal it. Ian Krishnan and Mike Underwood each hit a 3 down the stretch.

Ian Krishnan hit 4 of 9 from 3-point range and finished with 16 points, Jamir Coleman had 15 points and nine rebounds and Deion Bute scored 12 with eight boards for CCSU (9-13, 3-6 Northeast Conference).
Townes’ 3, Cardenas’ block send Bryant past C. Connecticut
SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — SaBastian Townes buried the go-ahead 3-pointer with nine seconds left and Juan Cardenas preserved the win with a blocked shot with a second to go as Bryant beat Central Connecticut 63-60 on Thursday night.
Kohl, Bute lead Central Connecticut over Mount St. Mary’s
EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) — Tyler Kohl had 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists on Saturday and Central Connecticut closed the game with six straight points to beat Mount St. Mary's 77-68.
Deion Bute added 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting and grabbed 11 boards for the Blue Devils (8-9, 2-2 Northeast Conference).
Central Connecticut made 6 of 8 free throws in the final 1:30 while the Mountaineers (3-14, 0-4) missed their final five field goal attempts, all from behind the arc.
C. Connecticut downs Fairleigh Dickinson in 2OT, 103-96
TEANECK, N.J. (AP) — Tyler Kohl scored 27 points with 11 rebounds and 11 assists and Central Connecticut beat Fairleigh Dickinson 103-96 in double overtime Thursday night.
Kohl's jump shot with 3:07 left in the second overtime broke an 86-all tie and started a 9-0 run with Joe Hugley scoring seven of the points. Jahlil Jenkins's layup for the Knights brought them within 95-91 but Central Connecticut made all eight of its final free throw attempts.
Anosike, Hoehn lead Sacred Heart past CCSU 73-61 in NEC
FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — E.J. Anosike scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, Sean Hoehn added 17 points and Sacred Heart led all the way defeating Central Connecticut State 73-61 Saturday.

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Tyler Kohl scored 21 points with five rebounds and five assists to lead four teammates in double-figure scoring and Central Connecticut beat Division II Penn State Wilkes-Barre 79-58 on Saturday.
Ian Krishnan hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 points, Joe Hugley added 14 off the bench and Deion Bute had 12 for the Blue Devils (5-5), who shot 38 percent but made 22 of 29 free throws, led by Hugley's 9 of 10.

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica (AP) — Tyler Kohl had 20 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists and Central Connecticut State never trailed in its 89-75 win over Florida A&M on Sunday night in the Jamaica Classic.

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica (AP) — Terry Taylor had 21 points and career-high tying 17 rebounds and Jarrett Givens scored 10 of his 16 points in the second half to help Austin Peay hold on for an 80-78 win over Central Connecticut State on Friday in the Jamaica Classic.
Zach Glotta added 13 points and Steve Harris had 10 points and five assists for Austin Peay (2-2).
Hot-shooting Central Connecticut downs UMass Lowell 86-74
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Tyler Kohl scored 26 points with four 3-pointers, Ian Krishnan added 15 points with three 3s and Central Connecticut shot 61 percent from the field in beating UMass Lowell 86-74 on Tuesday night.
Jamir Coleman added nine points for the Blue Devils (2-1), who finished 12 of 24 from long distance.
The River Hawks (1-2) closed to 63-53 on a 16-4 run capped by Allin Blunt's layup, but CCSU replied with a 15-4 run and led by 20 points on Will Ellis' 3 with 4:59 left.
Georgetown holds off Central Connecticut State 85-78
WASHINGTON (AP) — Jessie Govan scored 26 points and Georgetown made key 3-pointers down the stretch to beat Central Connecticut State 85-78 on Saturday night.
Govan was 10 of 13 from the field including two 3s. James Akinjo made all eight of his free-throw attempts and finished with 13 points for Georgetown (2-0), which made 11 3-pointers. Jamorko Pickett added 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from long range. Trey Mourning also chipped in 12 points.
Kohl scores 30, lifts CCSU past Hartford 75-68.
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Tyler Kohl scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Deion Bute also had a double-double and Central Connecticut State defeated Hartford 75-68 in the season opener for both teams on Tuesday night.
Bute had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Blue Devils, who trailed by 12 midway through the first half and 40-36 at the break.
NEW YORK (AP) — JoJo Cooper scored 20 points, Romone Saunders had 18 points and 10 rebounds and top-seeded Wagner beat No. 8 seed Central Connecticut 73-61 on Wednesday night in a Northeast Conference quarterfinal.
Wagner (22-8) will host a semifinal on Saturday against No. 7 seed Robert Morris (16-16), which upset second-seeded Mount Saint Mary's 60-56.
Central Connecticut beats St. Francis (Brooklyn) 78-75 in OT
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Joe Hugley scored 20 points and made a key 3-pointer in overtime to help Central Connecticut beat St. Francis (Brooklyn) 78-75 on Saturday in a Northeast Conference regular season finale.
Central Connecticut (14-17, 7-11) clinched the No. 8 seed heading to the conference tournament. St. Francis (13-17, 10-8) will be the fifth or sixth seed.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Tyler Kohl had his eighth double-double of the season and Mustafa Jones scored 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting to help Central Connecticut State beat Robert Morris 65-58 on Saturday night to snap a six-game skid.
Kohl scored 11 of his 17 points in the final nine minutes and finished with 10 rebounds and seven assists. Deion Bute added 12 points for CCSU (13-16, 6-10 Northeast Conference).
Hoehn, Sacred Heart beats Central Connecticut State 67-50
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Sean Hoehn scored 22 points, De'Von Barnett scored 16 and Sacred Heart defeated Central Connecticut 67-50 on Saturday.
Barnett scored three layups during an 11-0 run and Sacred Heart led 20-10. Austin Nehls responded with a layup and 3-pointer and Tyler Kohl's jump shot brought the Blue Devils within five before they trailed 29-24 at intermission.
Robinson’s 32 points lead Mt. St. Mary’s past CCSU 71-57
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Junior Robinson scored 32 points and was 12-of-17 shooting from the field and Mount St. Mary's beat Central Connecticut State 71-57 on Thursday night.
Sacred Heart beats Central Connecticut State 67-54
FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Sean Hoehn and Mario Matasovic scored 16 points apiece and Sacred Heart pulled away early in second half to beat Central Connecticut State 67-54 on Saturday.
Sacred Heart (8-17, 3-9 Northeast Conference) snapped a five-game losing skid, its longest in nearly three years. CCSU (12-13, 5-7) has lost three straight since winning four in a row.
Wagner beats Central Connecticut 72-59, wins 5th straight
NEW YORK (AP) — JoJo Cooper had 14 points and 12 assists, and Wagner cruised in the second half for a 72-59 victory over Central Connecticut on Thursday night.
Wagner (16-6, 9-2 Northeast Conference) has won five straight and has a two-game lead over four teams tied for second in the conference standings. Central Connecticut (12-12, 5-6) has lost consecutive games since its four-game win streak was snapped.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Tyler Kohl scored 27 points and Central Connecticut withstood a second-half Bryant rally to win 80-74 on Thursday night, the Blue Devils' fourth straight victory.
Kohl was 10 of 18 from the floor and a point shy of his career high while collecting seven assists and seven rebounds. Austin Nehls, who made five 3-pointers, and Mustafa Jones scored 18 points each.
CCSU finishes strong to get 3rd straight win 72-63
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Austin Nehls drilled a trey to give Central Connecticut State the lead for good and the Huskies held off LIU Brooklyn 72-63 to win its third straight and even its Northeast Conference standings on Saturday afternoon.
The Blackbirds held a 31-29 halftime advantage. Nehls and Joe Hugley hit back-to-back 3s for a 37-36 lead with 16:54 left before Julius van Sauers answered with a 3-pointer to retake the advantage.
Bute leads Central Connecticut past Fairleigh Dickinson by 1
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Deion Bute scored the final eight points for Central Connecticut, the last two on a slam dunk with three seconds left, and the Blue Devils held on for a 66-65 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday night.
Bute finished with a career-high 22 points, making 9 of 10 shots from the floor and all four of his free throws.

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Tyler Kohl had 25 points and 11 rebounds on Saturday and Central Connecticut never trailed in the second half for an 80-76 win over Bryant.

LOWELL, Mass. (AP) — Mustafa Jones scored a career-high 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting and Central Connecticut State got a partial block on a last-second shot to hold on for a 76-73 win over UMass Lowell on Saturday.
Both teams had miscues down the stretch, particularly from the foul line. Tyler Kohl's hesitation drive put the Blue Devils (7-6) up 74-71 with 1:12 to play but Jahad Thomas quickly answered for the River Hawks (6-6) with 57.4 seconds to go.

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Tyler Kohl had 18 points, a career-high 14 rebounds and six assists to help Central Connecticut State beat Main 84-57 on Wednesday night to snap a three-game skid.
It was Kohl's second career double-double. The guard, a junior transfer, made 2 of 2 from the free-throw line and has hit 17-of-17 free throws over the last five games.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) — Mike Williams had 23 points and four steals and Eugene Omoruyi had 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks as much-needed sparks off the bench to lead Rutgers past Central Connecticut State 71-67 on Sunday.
After taking a 2-0 lead, Rutgers trailed most of the first half before Williams' pair of free throws gave the Scarlet Knights (2-0, 2-0 Big Ten) a 28-26 lead with 2:04 left in the first half before taking a 30-29 halftime lead.
