Jamieson leads Nedbank by 1, Fleetwood finally finds form
SUN CITY, South Africa (AP) — A bogey-free 67 gave Scott Jamieson a 1-shot lead on Saturday heading into the final round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge at Sun City.
Jamieson edged ahead of overnight leader Victor Dubuisson (71) and has a chance at just his second European Tour title. His only previous tour victory was also in South Africa, at the Nelson Mandela Championship in 2012.
Dubuisson leads Nedbank Challenge after day of thunderstorms
SUN CITY, South Africa (AP) — Victor Dubuisson came through a day of strong winds and thunderstorms at Sun City to hold a two-shot lead after two rounds of the Nedbank Golf Challenge on Friday.
Dubuisson bogeyed No. 18 after a rain delay to cut his advantage to two shots, but he handled the tricky weather best in northern South Africa to hold the halfway advantage at 6 under.
The slip up on No. 18 was one of just two bogeys for the Frenchman, who also collected four birdies in his 2-under 70.
Wiesberger leads in Sun City, Fleetwod 6 shots back
SUN CITY, South Africa (AP) — Bernd Wiesberger birdied the last hole to take a one-shot lead after the first round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge on Thursday.
Wiesberger broke clear of the pack with a superb approach to No. 18 to set up his birdie, finishing with a 5-under 67 to edge four other players.
Race to Dubai leader Tommy Fleetwood (73), who can win the season title with a victory at Gary Player Country Club, was six shots off the pace at the penultimate tournament of the season.
Dubuisson takes 1-shot lead at World Tour Championship
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Victor Dubuisson showed his ability to compete in big tournaments when a sparkling 8-under 64 on Saturday gave him a one-shot lead in the World Tour Championship after three rounds.
The Frenchman's two European Tour wins so far came at the 2013 and 2015 Turkish Airlines Open - a $7 million Final Series event.
