Authorities closed Hillside Cemetery in Bazetta Township in northeastern Ohio after the Jan. 8 tornado. The storm destroyed a storage shed, blew shingles off a chapel roof, and knocked down dozens of trees and bushes.

Woman who fled US after husband’s slaying gets life sentence
WARREN, Ohio (AP) — A woman found guilty of killing her husband in Ohio and fleeing to her native Brazil in 2007 has been sentenced to life in prison.
A judge on Friday told 54-year-old Claudia Hoerig that she could be released after 28 years.
Hoerig was returned to the U.S. in January 2018 after Brazil's Supreme Court revoked her citizenship.

WARREN, Pa. (AP) _ Northwest Bancshares Inc. (NWBI) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $26.5 million.
On a per-share basis, the Warren, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of 26 cents.
The holding company for Northwest Savings Bank posted revenue of $121 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $110.1 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $105.5 million, or $1.02 per share. Revenue was reported as $430.3 million.

BOSTON (AP) — It appears the Phoenix Suns have finally figured things out.
Devin Booker had 25 points and eight assists, and rookie Deandre Ayton added 23 points and 18 rebounds to lead the suddenly resurgent Suns past the Boston Celtics 111-103 on Wednesday night.
"We had multiple conversations when we were losing early in the year," Booker said. "We looked around the locker room and said, 'Nobody's going to feel bad for us.'"

Teen who killed neighbor, 94, sentenced to life, no parole
WARREN, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio teenager who beat a 94-year-old neighbor to death with a flashlight when he was 15 has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance for parole.
Nineteen-year-old Jacob LaRosa apologized and begged for a second chance before a judge in northeast Ohio's Trumbull County sentenced him Friday for the slaying, attempted rape and robbery of Marie Belcastro in March 2015. His attorneys objected to the sentence and said they planned to appeal.
Cincinnati wins sixth straight in 37-21 victory over Tulane
CINCINNATI (AP) — Michael Warren II's career-long 81-yard touchdown helped spur Cincinnati to a 37-21 win over Tulane on Saturday for the Bearcats' first 6-0 start since 2012.

Michael Warren's 3-yard run brought the Bearcats all the way back from a three-touchdown deficit for Cincinnati's fourth straight win to start the season. Cincinnati has already matched its win totals of the last two seasons.

CINCINNATI (AP) — Michael Warren rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns to help Cincinnati beat Miami of Ohio 21-0 on Saturday night.
Cincinnati (2-0) won its 13th straight game in oldest rivalry west of the Allegheny Mountains using a stout defense that kept Miami of Ohio (0-2) off the scoreboard.
Steady rain held down the passing game for both teams and Miami found little running room with 59 yards.

Traveling Vietnam Wall’s opening ceremony draws large crowd
WARREN, Ohio (AP) — Gina Sferra stood in front of The Wall That Heals on Thursday afternoon looking at the name of her uncle, Robert G. Stanko.
The wall is a three-quarter traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. The wall is displayed on the south lawn of Packard Music Hall and will be on display until Sunday.
"He was in the Army. He was killed at 19 years old," Sferra, of Campbell, said.
