LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A third grader was killed and at least 45 people were injured when a charter bus carrying youth football players from Tennessee rolled off an interstate and overturned before sunrise Monday in central Arkansas, authorities said.
Arkansas State Police said the bus crashed along Interstate 30 near Benton, about 25 miles (40 kilometers) southwest of Little Rock. Police said most of the injured were children and that they were taken to hospitals in Little Rock and Benton.

BRIDGETON, N.J. (AP) — A man charged in the slaying of a youth football coach who was gunned down in a school parking lot after a practice will remain jailed until his murder trial starts.
A judge made the ruling Friday, agreeing with Cumberland County prosecutors who cited the severity of the charges Will El-Bey faces. They also noted the 22-year-old Vineland man is accused of witness tampering.

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say the former president of a Tucson youth football organization is accused of stealing more than $50,000 from the Marana team's bank account.
The Arizona Daily Star reports Oro Valley police records show Steven Leslie Marshall Jr. allegedly used the money to pay for rent and water bills plus car repairs, vehicle registration, hotel rooms and dental braces for himself and his family.
