Jones leads Xavier over Providence 75-61
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Tyrique Jones had 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead Xavier to a 75-61 win over Providence on Saturday.
Jones made 9 of 11 shots.
Naji Marshall had 14 points and seven rebounds for Xavier (13-13, 5-8 Big East Conference), which ended its four-game road losing streak. Zach Hankins added 13 points. Quentin Goodin had 13 points and seven assists for the visiting team.
Nate Watson had 16 points for the Friars (14-12, 4-9).
Down by 17, Xavier rallies for 81-75 win over Georgetown
CINCINNATI (AP) — Zach Hankins and Tyrique Jones have been lobbying to play together on Xavier's thin front line. They got their chance and led the Musketeers to their best win of the season.
Hankins scored a season-high 23 points , and Jones had a double-double Wednesday night as Xavier rallied from a 17-point deficit to an 81-75 victory over short-handed Georgetown.
Tilmon’s big night helps Missouri beat Xavier 71-56
COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — When Jeremiah Tilmon caught the ball in the post on Missouri's first possession against Xavier, he waited for a double-team. It didn't arrive. So he spun into the lane and powered his way to the basket, hitting the shot and drawing a foul.
That turned into a recurring theme, as the 6-foot-10 sophomore forward scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Tigers to a 71-56 victory over the Musketeers on Tuesday.
Hankins, Xavier dominate inside, beat Eastern Kentucky 95-77
CINCINNATI (AP) — When the Musketeers weren't throwing the ball away, they were slamming it down for another dunk.
Xavier got the best of a wide-open game Saturday night, overcoming a season-high 27 turnovers and nearly setting a school record for shooting percentage during a 95-77 victory over Eastern Kentucky.
The Musketeers enjoyed the frenetic pace.
"It was really fun to play without having to call very many plays," point guard Quentin Goodin said. "It's attack and score."
Marshall leads balanced Xavier past Oakland, 73-63

On Saturday afternoon in Cintas Center, Naji Marshall scored 14 points and Tyrique Jones, Ryan Welage and Zach Hankins each scored 11 lifting the Musketeers past Oakland 73-63.
