LOS ANGELES (AP) — Reserves Jordan Bell and Ivan Alipiev combined to score 31 points and Loyola Marymount got 67 points from its bench in a 106-50 thumping of Bethesda on Thursday night.
Zafir Williams scored all 10 of his points in the first half to lead the Lions (8-0) to a 57-27 advantage at intermission over the National Christian Colleges Athletic Association school from Anaheim, California.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Zafir Williams hit two free throws with a second left in the game to allow Loyola Marymount to avoid its first loss of the season and beat Central Connecticut, 76-74 on Wednesday night.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — James Batemon scored 29 points and made 11 of 12 free throws and eight-seeded Loyola Marymount rallied from 15 points down in the first half to beat ninth-seeded Portland 78-72 in Friday night's opening round of the West Coast Conference Tournament.
Eli Scott scored 12 points with 10 rebounds and four assists and Mattias Markusson added 11 points for the Lions (11-19), who face No. 7-ranked and top-seeded Gonzaga in Saturday's quarterfinals.
Loyola Marymount comes back from 16 down, tops Pacific 74-71
LOS ANGELES (AP) — James Batemon had seven of his 23 points in the final minute and a half and Loyola Marymount rallied from 16 down to beat Pacific 74-71 on Saturday.
Batemon's 3-pointer with 1:27 left gave the Lions (10-19, 5-13 West Coast Conference) the lead for good at 70-68 and his layup at 34.5 seconds pushed the lead to four. Jahlil Tripp had a 3-point play for the Tigers (14-17, 9-9) to cut the deficit to one with 17 seconds left, but Batemon made two free throws to cap the scoring.
Loyola Marymount holds on for 85-79 win over Pepperdine
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Steven Haney scored a career-best 31 points and Loyola Marymount held on for an 85-79 win over Pepperdine on Saturday afternoon, snapping a three-game skid.
Haney was 8 of 15 from the field, including six 3-pointers, and made all nine of his free throws for the Lions (8-17, 3-11 West Coast Conference). Mattias Markusson added 16 points with 10 rebounds. James Batemon and Cameron Allen scored 13 points each. Batemon dished 10 assists.
Batemon leads Loyola Marymount to 76-69 upset over BYU
LOS ANGELES (AP) — James Batemon poured in 28 points and added four rebounds, four assists and three steals and Loyola Marymount stunned BYU 76-69 on Thursday night.
Eli Scott, a freshman, totaled 19 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double and first in West Coast Conference play for the Lions (7-15, 2-9). Zafir Williams added 12 points off the bench on 5-of-6 shooting. LMU beat BYU (18-6, 7-4) for only the fifth time in 19 tries and lost at BYU 82-67 last month.
Portland State pulls away late, beats LMU 94-85
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bryce Canda had 20 points and 13 rebounds, Holland Woods added 20 points and Portland State beat Loyola Marymount 94-85 on Wednesday night for its third straight win.
Canda was 8 of 14 from the floor and made four 3-pointers. Woods was 6-of-9 shooting and made 8 of 9 free throws. Brandon Hollins chipped in 14 points for Portland State (7-2).
Eubanks, Oregon State beat Loyola Marymount 78-74
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Last season, Oregon State could hang tight with teams until the final minutes but couldn't close out games, said center Drew Eubanks.
After squandering a double-digit lead in the second half on Saturday, Beaver players stepped up and showed their leadership.
"Last year, we would have lost that game, so it was good to see," Eubanks added.
Eubanks had 22 points, on 10-for-10 shooting, and four blocks as Oregon State held on to beat Loyola Marymount 78-74 on Saturday.
Loyola Marymount rolls past Cal State-LA 87-66
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Eli Scott scored 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds and sophomore Mattias Markusson and freshman Zafir Williams notched career-high point totals as Loyola Marymount breezed to an 87-66 win over Division II-member Cal State-Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
Jessup’s 22 points lead Boise State past LMU, 68-48
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Justinian Jessup had 22 points, Marcus Dickinson and Lexus Williams combined to score 21 of their 26 points in the second half and Boise State beat Loyola Marymount 68-48 on Saturday night.
Dickinson scored 11 of his 13 — and Williams had 10 — points in the second half. Jessup and Dickinson each hit three 3-pointers, while Chris Sengfelder and Zach Haney had 10 rebounds apiece for Boise State (4-1).
